I dunno, but I find it kinda funny when someone is so convinced that _he_ is right, even against common knowledge (Creative released a press release during 2000, stating that they have _never_ even promised 98-WDM drivers), that he posts a screenshot from _another_ OS (nobody has questioned that 2K/XP have DLS-capable driver, they have had that for... I don't know, 2 years?) as proof.
Yes. What's your point?
Liveware is just 10-30MB of mostly useless fluff packed around drivers. Luckily Creative has lately (read: in last two years, or so) ditched their habit of releasing _only_ these silly all-in-one packages, and started to release all driver updates (also) as stand alone distributions.
With the newer drivers, any sb live can load a sf2, sfk, or dls file into its memory. Yes it is the one in audio hq. It works with both dls level 1 and level 2 files, and works perfect.(fo' windowz-xp)

these are all of the soundfont files that i have found in the ff8 cds and in the ff8 program files :
1. ff8.dls ( 7.88 mb )
2. gm16.dls ( 3.28 mb )
3. synthgm.sf2 ( 44 kb )
are these files the correct size ?
