Hey there this is my mod for replacing the ugly font in the steam version with a font that is similar to the ps1 version, Enjoy

Please note this mod requires tonberry

1) Place Sy folder inside textures folder

2) Place excel sheet inside Hashmap folder

3) Disable Steam overlay

4) Enjoy

Oh yeah! I've been waiting for this for a long time!
I really love it. The ticker font gives an incredible deepness effect. Also, at least for me, it keeps my eyes more relaxed, I have less fatigue when reading your font samples. Thanks for your work :D
 
Yes this works fine with Seed Reborn, it uses the same hashmap codes so if you already have that installed then you don't need the excel sheet, just replace the sy folder.
 
Updated the font to version 2. Of course I will leave version 1 link there for those who prefer it. Enjoy!
 
The interrogations and the scripts show some glitch in their areas (i use it with Seed Reborn). Can you  solve it please? Thanks

Will you ever include a replacement for the damage/healing numbers that appear in battle to closely match the psx ones?
 
Its hard to find font that is similar to damage numbers but I've already replaced the HP with new similar font, I will probably create a new topic with a UI overhaul when its ready. I'm really busy at the moment but here is where I currently am in regards to the new font you can view it below. The only letter I'm not happy with for the new font is the Capital 'W' but if there's enough interest I could release the font earlier in this topic if you want

Managed to fix the capital 'W', have updated the first post with version 3!
 
while SeedReborn mod is great. i still preffer this font for style for the general text of the game.

Actually I am updating this font mainly reverting the curved ends making it slightly rounder from an earlier version and fixing Capital X W V lower case x y  making " " , . more blocky again and making shadows more uniform along with other minor adjustments if I can figure how to to adjust the font spacing I will add one for the remastered version.
