for the moment it's for patreon members, I'm wondering if it's planned in public? and if this is the case, the download link will be available on qhimm or it will be exclusive to discord -.-
 
There is any ETA for Angelwing ultima v2.0 (the complete one) for patreon and for the public?
 
Hi, i want to starting to play FF8R on my deck, paying the two dollars base inscription, do I obtain a full graphic mod or is it under development now and it is not convenient to use for a first playtrough after ten year?

Yes you receive a work in progress version that has been in perpetual development while FF7 and 9 have well established complete mods free of charge. Even FFNx has barebones support for FF8 and none at all for FF8R. This game is cursed.
 
Hello :)
I got the Angelwing mod, paid for it, but I have a lot of crashes (on disk 2, on the disk 1 I had none).
Is there something I can do about it. I know it's thos mod which make me freeze and crash the game .. I would play without it but now that I'm used to clear background... ^^"
 
Anyone else noticing major stuttering when using angelwing? I'm right at the beginning of the game, but anywhere in fire cavern and most of balamb town are very stuttery. I have tried patching the exe with 4gb patch and that made no difference. My comps specs are just fine:

AMD Ryzen 5 3600
16GB DDR4 RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB
2TB SSD
 
Guys sorry for the reply :( but i buy the remastered version and download all the mods, even followed 2 tutorials to how install them (drag all textures files to DEMASTER_EXP folder, after used the demaster tool), but only the main menu changes Ç_Ç
Inside the garden, out side still the same.
 
Alright So I figured out...

If you download the newest Demaster version, It does not contain all of the files needed that are included in the old Demaster version. You need Demaster Version 1.3.3 - Install that first while doing the initial file installs, But then after you get all of the textures / mods installed... The new Demaster Version 1.3.5 has the single new DLL that fixes the desert prison crash / hang up part. You just take the new Demaster.DLL and put in in the base FF8 Folder after everything is installed and you should be good.

In Short

When installing you need to...
Install Demaster Version 1.3.3 FIRST (has all the files)
Then Download Demaster Version 1.3.5(single DLL FILE that goes in main FF directory)
This fixes desert prison crash.
Hope this helps, sorry am new here and new to modding. Don't know if anyone answered this before, but i saw someone asking and didnt see the fix myself.

I’m Patricia (RinoaHe) from Germany – a passionate FF8 fan since childhood.
I originally created some realistic-style FF8 scene renders for a fan group and for myself, just out of love for this amazing game.

I used AI-based tools to generate the images, carefully adjusted to match the original game’s vibe – and I tried to stay as accurate and respectful to the source material as possible.

Someone recommended I post them here – and I thought it would be great to share, in case they’re inspiring or interesting for the modding community.

Hello everyone,
All these mods look fantastic and really change the game up!
But do you know if the "MagicUpscaled v1.0" mod has an equivalent for the FF8 Remastered  ? Visually, this is the only drawback of this remastered version compared to the original (modded).

Update 16-06-25 : I reactivated the "LINEAR_PATCH" (Disables linear filtering and brings back point clamp as in PlayStation) and that solved the problem! (parameter set by default in the Demaster apparently). If it can be useful to others...

FYI:
These files in RebirthFlame-Remastered_v2-0-V.zip
are named with wrong *.bak* in their name, correct:

The Seifer battle png-s from LunarCry(Ultima) - Remastered v3.0.1a.zip are making the in game model weird, like a kinght with helmet on. The textures looks fine when opened with some image viewer. These files need to be deleted to get back the original look. And once some png tries to override it, it will not applied, instead this knight with helmet will be shown. Who knowd why...

So, are the unfinished mods just going to be left unfinished? Checked the Patreon page too but seems like nothing really happening.  No way I would donate from what I've seen.
 
Most of the mods are finished except for the angelwing and the other languages ​​of the SeeDRemastered UI, French etc. but it's true that the wait is starting to be long :( and most of the modders no longer bother to answer here, they almost only answer on discord etc.
 
Approaching 6-year anniversary of this topic. Still no public beta for angelwing ultima let alone a complete build. I started following this when I was in school and now i'm almost done with university.
