I installed latest version to the T following exact instruction it just does not work at all. Im guessing it needs the 7th heaven program.
I was using Aali's custom graphics driver "ff7_opengl-0.7.11b.zip" and it works great because it includes a modified ff7Config.exe, but then tried "ff7_opengl-0.8.1b.zip" and it has the same issue as FFNx it is a reg entry, with no configuration utility to select the new options.
I'm trying only to change the music with FFNx to the original sound from PS1 music found here: https://www.ff7catalog.com/threads/14035//

perhaps I need to try earlier FFNx version and it will have included a modded ff7Config.exe
