Theatrical Release for Advent Children?

Square Enix President Yoichi Wada told Impress Game Watch recently that Advent Children may also be making its way to customers via digital downloads or screened in movie theaters. It appears that the delays experienced in development may have given Square Enix the time to explore other avenues of distribution. Nomura, too, had expressed some time back that he would like to see Advent Children being screened in the theatres, if only for a short while.

(as said, the topic name has been changed..)

Well, it would make sense...

Advent Children is getting alot of support from its fans, and is being very hyped and pumped up, and this one looks pretty good compared to Spirits Within...

I honestly was expecting it to happen sooner or later, but as it said, it's not official...

Probally only in New York, Las Angeles, and other big cities like that, and then probally release them nationwide, kind of like Napoleon Dynamite, but thats just my guess. Who knows, they could sping for nation wide.

What about canada? If they wont screen it I will have to bootleg it "cause I wont wait for it to be released...

Hmmmm...I dont know how that one works....

Do you guys get the stuff at the same time as we do from Japan? Or is it like Europe and you get the first installment a year after the sequel comes out in the U.S.?

Nope were both classified as "North America", however, Thats why I was asking, I'm worried that by living in a small town in canada....

It'll probally release in any big city up there too, then spring for a Nation wide release, if they really wanna milk this thing more (Which there's nothing wrong with). Thats just how I see it.

I have no complains, Milk it dry, I say, As long as vincent is there, (Red VII helps too) and its an hours drive to toronto....(basicly 1-2 major cities each province...." -_-

the reason why i dont play this awfull game is: On it, u can read Disney picture

Well, I thought the game was pretty good.... It actually takes a little skill to beat the optional bosses....can't really say the same about regular RPG's, such as FF#.

I thought Emerald and Ruby weapons were pain in the ass optional bosses, specificly if you dont have the underwater materia. Emerald Weapon just took along time, but there were tricks to get around him (9999 hp, 3 materia equiped, Aire Tam, 3,333 damage to everyone, 7,777=Lucky 7's).

Ruby was just a pain in the ass...even with level 90+ characters...

I thikn Threesixty meant something else..

Take FFX and FFVII for example...

FFVII bosses are mostly kill kill kill, the faster the HP goes down, and the faster you heal the more chances you have for winning...

FFX ones are strategy. You just have to play it to know it.. Mostly due to the new ATB type and more supportive items, magic, and abilities...

The ATB requires quick thinking, on your toes battles, FFVII...

FFX allows you to sit down and actually plan an attack...

But, Threesixty didnt say anything about FFX, he just said that the optional bosses didnt take as much skill, in which I pointed to Emerald and Ruby weapons. There were a few in FFVIII I believe too that were quite a pain (I remember that big cactuar...).

I was speaking of Kingdom Hearts... Cloudsquall said something about the game being aweful.... just because Disney had a part in it. I suggest giving the game a chance, and not judge it just because it has Disney characters in it.

And I was just stating that the gameplay in KH wasn't as mind-numbing as the typical RPG. Not that I don't mind the mind-numbing gameplay of typical RPG's...I mainly play them for the story and the FMV's, anyway. But it's nice to find an Action RPG on the shelves, with a decent backstory.

The storyline is pretty good in KH, too.....granted it's kinda inocent,...but it does have it's moments. I just wish they would quit the trend of putting 12 year old characters, in 20+ year old situations. I guess that's one of the reasons why I like FF7, Xenogears, Xenosaga, and Shadow Hearts, over FF8 and 9....their ages seem more believable.

It seems cloudsqual doesn't like many games does he.

He doesnt like 7 ,he doesnt like Onimusha, he doesnt like Dynasty warriors, he doesnt like KH....

Like I said, I played bits of pieces of it, it just didnt really catch my interest. That, and Im really just not a disney fan, period. Im not a big fan of Disney, except for a few here and there. So, a Disney-based RPG? Not something that screams for my immediate attention, but thats just me.

And Onimusha is pretty damn good, especially the 3rd one. I want that Katana Controller...

Maybe he's a gamer who doesn't like what everyone else likes? It's kinda like music. You like something mainstream and it sucks most of the time. Emphasis on most. Sometimes, mainstream can really be worth your time though. Take Xenogears or Chronocross for example. Even MGS!! Mainstream is good for some games but bad for others. It gets to some companies' heads. So they release shit like Kingdom Hearts which I don't mind but I hate the fact that Disney is a part of a Square game. They could've used a company that isn't so childish you know... especially when most of us are way older than the audience they point the game to. Do you honestly believe that a 6 or 7 year old will want to read all of the dialog? Some kids might but I don't think they'll understand some of it as most Square games have things like adult humor and complex story structures. It's not a smart approach. Isn't this game the reason why Square had to use Enix as a life raft to start with?
