After about 5 uninstalls and and fully cleaning out the registry it is working again. Extremely odd. Every time i reinstalled i got a different problem, from quarter screen to crashes at boot up to the same error..
again a problem.. I reinstalled it 3 times (and uninstalled via CCleane) and not only it shows everything black, but also it says the £battle.lgp version is unknown). any suggestions?
I had this problem too. Run it in Administrator mode and it should work fine! I think it's related to the Vista feature of moving non-admin aware programs in the 'Program Files' directory into it's virtual directory! Hope that helps! =)
sorry for half-necroposting. I still have this very same problem, also when applying the sephiroth patches (both ice_cold's and scorpicus) it says that char.lgp is of unknown version (actually of all lgp files), could I have gotten the US version?
