I've ordered mine, and it have arrived today!Preliminary hearing seems to suggest that it's better than FF9 soundtrack ( worse of all FF soundtracks I've owned ), but still have to hear more to see if it was as good as FF8 and FF7.

BUY ORIGINALS FOLKS! HA!

I loved FFIXs music almost equal to VIIs.
I have loved every damn peice of Nobou music I have heard(same for that guy that did the music to Chrono Triger). But I dont know about FFXs...I am going to go get Morpheus now and have a look-see.

don't worry all the tracks are in mp3 format my friend's T1 server is on 24/7

Song name Example:Final Fantasy X Original Soundtrack Disc4 01 - Yuuna no ketsui.mp3

:PHOLY SHIT.  The prelude makes me think that Uematsu IS dead, and they hid his body and are trying to cover it up.  If he wrote this,  hell, if he even APPROVED it for the game, my trust in him is shattered.  :P

Achally I am well into Cd 2 now. The OST isnt that bad. Acahlly I have a therory why I didnt like it so much in the first place.I remember back when I download the FFIX Ost a good few months before it was out in the USA and I remember not thinking much of the music. I loved a few tracks like the battle music but I didnt really think it was as good as VIIs ost.

But now I have the game I love the music. Each tune the same as FFVII/VIII has its own story to it. And I think thats what I'm missing here. I am just hearing storyless music at the moment.

Take 2-13 Miihen Highway. I heard this music in a movie thanks to The Saint( :D) and I thought it was quite good. Reason? I know where the music is played.

I dont know how to fully explain it but does any one share my feeling on this?

Prelude still is crap though.
I say BAH! to it. Again lets give it a chance. During the prelude something that SUITS the music might be happening on the screen. So that music might be really good once we get our gruby little hands on the game.

I want to wait for the game to hear the full soundtrack, so I will not be downloading the whole thing.  Brass De Chocobo is pretty good, though.  But I understand where Canealot is coming from.  You need to know the context.  I remember hearing 'Eyes On Me'  before I had played FF8, and I hated it.  Now, after playing the game, I think it is wonderful.  Suketi Da Ne  is kinda catchy.  I HOPE THEY MAKE THIS GAME FOR THE PC!!!!!!!!!

Ah you know what I mean then. Good. Any way. Its conformed for pc "in comeing years". Sigh....

I reckon it will be out on the PC about a year after the japanese release date

HOLY CRAP!!!  You're kidding, right???  Can you give me a link to the confirmation?   OMG,  really?!  YES!  YES YES YES YES YEEEES*!  I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY!  I don't care how long it takes, just as long as they make it!   Thank you for making my day!*comment on that and i'll find a way to kill you.

Well it was confirmed ages ago to be comeing to the pc Im just takeing a guess based on the FF8 release time

Ah yes.  That.  I don't know about that.  I have known about it and hoped it was true, but don't you think that other news sites would've reported it too?  Wouldn't square have made a press release, at least?  I really hope it's true, though.[This message has been edited by MMiller8 (edited August 16, 2001).]

you go to the square website and see the last time they updated the news page you realise why you should believe the gameing websites, square has put up 2 news articles this year, i think they got killed by a malignant proccessor fan and nobody realised

I'm still downloading the 1st CD  :( The 7th track, to be exact. The prelude sounds like that maybe because my friend from square said that Nobuo is "An unsucessful chamber music composer" and Nobuo heard. Maybe this is the reason why. Overworld is worst.

Hey... anyone know which is supposed to be a boss fight?  Or maybe even a "bigger" boss fight?

About your bit war earlier... may be a little off-topic now but I want my say.Yeah, it may be true that the human ear can only hear 128-bit.  But in MP3s, that's not what the "bitrate" is... the bitrate is the rate that data is passing through to make sounds... and its really kilobits.  Your "128-bit MP3" is playing sounds at 128 kilobits per second.

Quality is different depending on file format.  You can usually get 192 k-bit MP3 quality into a 128, 96, or maybe even 64 k-bit WMA8 file.
