Agreed it should only resume after a battle inturupt. And I tried fade in/out on your proggie today. Thats pretty good....

OK. I've implemented the resume only after a battle as an option, fixed a playback bug, and solved the ID problem Canealot found (didn't ID Cosmo Canyon, and maybe others, at least not reliably. Fixed)I've also compressed the files with a newer version of the EXE compressor which should solve the slowdown bug some people were experiencing.

Teh resume function still dosent seem to be working for me at least. If it dosent work I dont think you should brake your ass over it.
It would be nice to have in but if it dosent work it dosent matter.Looping dosent seem to be working for me either....This is a feature I would like to see work. Maybe its just my pc. Is this working on any one elses?

ya know now that i think about it all of fice's appz load like a crawl on my machine.. i have no virus anything running.. cuz i dont run a scanner.. i scan later ... i finally did get cosmo to run... havent had time to tweak anything yet... i am playing through ff8 again...

Well, Cosmo takes ~5 secs to load simply because of the amount of things it has to do to start up...If other apps do as well it's almost certainly the exe compressor (I've switched to a newer version now so any updates will be using the new compression).

Ok more bugs. Aseri.mid wasent dumping propley:0031003100A60031002D004F0026002F007400000001004F0077002600540021

Looks like there might be a few more....

I honestly don't understand how that's happening. It might be a bug in the in-game ID generator, I've manually examined the MID files in my Midi editor and the generated ID's look OK...I will try and fix it but I have exams next week so I really should revise for them *this* week...

Still dosent loop for me at all. Oh well.
Oh and Ficedula there no rush on this ok?
Dont screw up your exams becuse of this silly proggie okey?

i was at the bit when u 1st go to the gold saucer and then don catches u and throws u to the prison, the music supposed to change and ive set ALMOST ALL the mp3s up and there was no music (no midi either cos i had no soundfont loaded) i saved the id, its supposed to be hurry faster!.mp3 but i figure if the midi isnt in the feild file or starts partway thru then it had a different id?
also ive been testing it :
there is still that delay b4 a mp3 starts ( i know u cant do anything about that!)
if u enable any fading options, the game will pause while (even AVIs) it waits for the music to start to fade (the tune 1st "pops" then fades).
also it doesnt loop for me  :( if i Alt Tab out

If the song started part way through that would mess up the ID's. But yeah, I'll check it all out after my exams are over.

Resume and looping still not working over here. Any success storys any one?

Canealot: In that case, could you either post or email me your LOG.TXT? The new version outputs more status messages while it's running that might help me work out why it doesn't work for you.

Check your email. I checked to see if it would resume from the main map music after a battle. And I checked if the corel town music would loop.

Hmmph. I wish I had some FF7 MP3s so I could help you guys out.
