Final Fantasy 7 : Halo Edition (NEED HELP)

I though of a pretty cool idea to make ff7 into a halo version
im doing this by changing the icons. text/storyline. music/sound effects...THE WHOLE SHABANG

first off im workin on the icons(need help)

CLOUD- Master Cheif

Shinra soldiers- Grunts

Barret- Sgt. Johnson

Aeris- (post idea) i was thinking cortana but idk how we would make a battle / feild model of her

Tifa - (post idea)

Nanaki (post idea)

Cid (post idea)

Vincent (Post idea)

Sephiroth (Post idea)

i was thinking about changing monsters into the diff. aliens you fight throughout halo and since there are more ff monsters than halo aliens i was thinkin bout just changin the colors of the aliens too

Do you even have any experience modifying Final Fantasy VII?

kinda sorta im a newbie . i am a really quick learner tho.. and i have programs like lpg tools and stuff but ne help plz

I would really recommend instead of making a total conversion for Final Fantasy VII, try making a mod for something else first. Also, get used to an art tool. Blender is good, and it is free, though the UI makes no sense until you read a guide. The problem is that you could attach Halo models to the main characters, but you would have to make them have the same number of bones with the same names (which isn't that hard, actually). Then you'd need to attach the animations to that character. However, I don't know how to get the animations from the cloud character. In other words, this might be impossible (at least, in my knowledge). But, who knows, I may be wrong. I know you are just trying to get icons done right now, but, in reality, your main goal is to do what I am talking about, right?

well i just need help ...ill check out this blender thing but yea the main part is instead of cloud...master cheif...but yea..kinda like the sonic patch but im also changing the storyline

Don't worry, it is very possible, easy to do, however time consuming. Changing the sound effects...You can only change the sound of anything, but some sound effects are used for more than one character in the game...example if you placed a battlecry for barret, a scream as well as his gunshot, the grunts shooting will also have the same sound. And yeah...."ff7music" easy to use for any custom music. icons, im assuming you already have some knowledge, by reading tutorials on this forum. 8-bit icon, open menu_us.lgp using lgp tools, and right click replace icon with the 8-bit.bmp. if not message me, and i'll go through the details later.....
