Final Fantasy 7 Weapons I can't beat the underwater weapon

I thought the big one was called Diamond Weapon. I don't know for sure, though.

I alwyas just called it Weapon.

I may very well be wrong though, Ive not played the game in ages.


however ill install it as soon as my new monitor comes, I wanna try Saints high res patch :D
 
I hear that in the Japanese, there was one Weapon and it was just Weapon. That being the dark purple one with 4 legs. Now, my information may indeed be wrong on that, but I'm pretty sure it's right.

The localized version (American, and I'm assuming the Euro release as well) had that one, labelled Ultima Weapon, and three others. Or 4 by some accounts.

Diamond Weapon, "Godzilla in a Cocktail Dress" that storms Midgar and kills Rufus Shinra.

Ruby Weapon, the red terror of the desert, who patrols around The Gold Saucer.

And Emerald Weapon, lurker of the ocean deapths.

Some, myself included, like to label a fifth weapon, Saphire, that gets blown to bits by the Mako Cannon at Junon. It's most definately not Emerald, Ruby, Diamond, or Ultima that gets shot there. It doesn't look like any of them. Either way, it doesn't matter, because it gets blown to bits.

Yup, you are correct.

The Weapon that attacks Junon was officialy named by Square as "Sapphire Weapon" .

There are 5 Weapons, no more no less. :)

u have 8 Counter materia linked to 8 Mime materia, u have cloud use W-item to get Barret pumped up with 2 H drinks, then u have Barret use his limit Ungermax on Emerald for 18 supercharged hits. Emerald counters with his generic Beam attack and Barret counter with mime 8 times meaning 8 consecutive Ungermaxs meaning 144 hits of 6000+ damage.

I remember... beating the Emerald with simple KotR, Mime and Phoenix with Final Attack. The thing is, I didn't use Underwater materia. What's so special about that you'd ask? I'd killed him when counter was at 0:02 (or 0:01). He turned red, and I saw "GameOver"... Again... what's so special?

I actually won that battle! I could only select "New Game" or "Continue" but in the background there was an after-battle screen with my exp and materia rising over and over again :). That's a bad luck :P

I believe Omega was also in the JP international version of FFVII, but didn't make it over, or it was renamed to one of the regular ones.

If it's any consolation, atleast the weapons cant one-shot you like in a certain other online final fantasy x_X
 
I thought Emerald could kill you in one hit.

Do you have a picture of Omega Weapon?
