I have 65,000 BP in battle arena, and for some reason it isn't even giving me the option to exchange pts for Omnislash... Why is that?
Don't say that. He probably won't see the sarcasm and will instead believe you're praising his behaviour.i feel you should be rewarded for how precise your subject is. i knew exactly what this thread was going be about.
I'd alt-tab out and pray to god the game doesn't crash! How exactly do you "have" 65,000 BP? You lose them when you leave the battle arena, meaning you'd have to either be playing on an emulator with savestates or have alt+tabbed your game to ask this question...
it all depends on how harsh your handicaps are. If you're lucky enough to get the "all materia broken" handicap and beat it, you'll get tens of thousands of BP on a single runI'd alt-tab out and pray to god the game doesn't crash! How exactly do you "have" 65,000 BP? How many hours is 65000 BP on disk 1 ? 10 ?
NFITC1 analyzed it down to a science. He started a thread about it IIRC.Has anyone devised the formula for BP? The harsher the handicap the more the BP yes, but I think it uses some type of multiplier. All Materia Broken when you have 10 BP bumps it up a few thousand, but All Materia Broken as the final handicap gives those tens of thousands. I also think that it does this regardless of other handicaps, so if you got All Materia Broken as your last, and second to last (if this is possible, idt it is), you'd potentially earn 20000+ BP for each one...maybe
The monsters are differet on disc 1.took me less than an hour to get 65000 bp. But I was on Disc 3 with Tifa equipped with a Ribbon and Minerva band.
Thanks for the tip. I somehow missed this.NFITC1 analyzed it down to a science. He started a thread about it IIRC.
Aha! Man there must be tons of buried treasure on qhimm. Haven't been to the battle arena in ages, but ^this makes me want to see how much BP is possible in one set. Thanks for the tip. I somehow missed this.NFITC1 analyzed it down to a science. He started a thread about it IIRC.
According to that list: 12,576Aha! Man there must be tons of buried treasure on qhimm. Haven't been to the battle arena in ages, but ^this makes me want to see how much BP is possible in one set.
That is what I always thought that it did before checking that list. I doubt that it would be different in PSX versus PC, but I can't help but think that I got well more than 12,500 BP in the normal battle square...maybe not though. It'd make so much more sense for it to give you BP as a function of the difficulty of each handicap and the number of battles you won with that handicap.
