This is something I'd like to ask to those who can really speak Japanese. Along with FF7, I'm also working on a smaller project that consists of fixing FF9's translation, and this specific case has left me curious. Is Madeen's Terra Homing really supposed to be "Terraforming", like some websites say? The attack is written in the Japanese version as テラホーミング and not テラフォーミング, so it was an error from the very creators?

Looks like テラホーミング can mean "terraforming" too, but it's not as common as テラフォーミング. However, ホーミング can mean "homing", but "Terra Homing" is a bit vague. Madeen doesn't launch homing missiles.
