Ok, Tim, I hope this is your final release of your OST [or M(Modified)OST] because I am gonna re-upload them @YouTube.

I think I will use that cover-pic posted over me as video. I hope that's ok. I have really not much time to make slide-show videos again.

So i've been messing around a bit with a winamp plugin that i found on the net called inwinampac3.dll or WinampAC3 that allows decoding of multi channel audio. I wonder if it would be possible to mix these in 5.1 finalfantim? Just a thought that piqued my interest.

Now...for the bad news:
FINAL FANTASY VI (6) OST Remastered Project has been canceled!

I recently (after FFVII OST Remastered) studied the art of 'proper' mastering techniques. I mastered FFVII OST Remastered in my own way, but it could even sound better if i knew the proper mastering techniques back then. Unfortunatly, proper mastering takes about an additional 3 to 5 hours to complete (depending on the genre/instruments used) on top of the 4 hours correcting midi data for samples. Because im a perfectionist, i want to master my tracks proper but given by the amount of time that will take (8 hours * ~ 60 tracks = 480 UNPAID hours :lol:). So decided not to go through since i also have other stuff going on (university/work)

So....now for THE GOOD NEWS!:
When i was practicing mastering etc...i just opened a random midi file that i had stored on my computer and it was FINAL FANTASY IX - Battle Theme. I was messing around with it, and it started to sound rather nice. One problem....it was really loopy to be a full feature track. So...i searched my brain for my  basic chord knowlegde and made my own arranged version of it (so not only remastered, but also REARRANGED)

Here's an idea you can use: Have the song start out with the album cover (1st pic), then change to it's respective disc picture, then change to the back cover pic for the rest of the song. I'm just throwing that out there. Catch it if you like.  :wink:

Final Fantim, you're saying that you remastered FFVII your own way, and it sounded like that? I think it sounded PERFECT!  :-D So you're telling me that you can make FF6 sound just like your FF7 Remastered soundtrack? That's perfect enough for us! You say you're a perfectionist, but FF7 Remastered was perfect! 'Nough said!  8-) Don't bother with all that other stuff if it'll take you forever! Your way is the perfect way! But I won't tell you how to live your life.  :lol: Just letting you know it's perfect.

Yeah right, I'm not wasting my bandwidth on HD to listen to music, when I could just as easily download it for a lot less.
 
I suppose this is way off topic, but I'm quite curious.

Does fmt=18 (HQ etc) have better sound quality than standard youtube format?
I know it won't always but I'm wondering if they also lose some audio quality as well as video quality in youtube standard.
 
I'm not sure whether "HQ" has better sound quality than the videos that used to be the standard on YouTube, however...

Nearly all of the videos are in high quality now, even if you don't have fmt=18 at the end. AFAIK putting fmt=18 in the url became unnecessary quite a while ago.

But, yes, I did hear Battle Not Alone! I didn't say it before? :? Guess not. So, I'll say it now:

Oh My God! :-o Loved it! It must be a sin to mix two of my most favorite FF songs together in the same song! I'm serious! My computer almost exploded from the shear awesomeness! Well, not really,  :roll: but yes! It was great! Loved it!
