You mention me in first post.. what a fuzzy feeling to see something like that after so many years since I've visited these boards.
And walking in my footsteps you've gone much much further than I would probably get. This is just what I've come for in a first place. I'm gonna play FFVII again that's right. And I want the best experience a modding community can offer. I've read some obsolete posts at the beginning of this thread and some say this is for noobs etc. Well it is for me alright, instead of spending days of searching and reading through these boards and testing and trying and tweaking I would just install this remix and spend those days instantly playing FFVII anew.

(and maybe I'd be missing something and maybe I'd pick a slightly different setup of mods... but I don't care because this is definitely good enough and ultimately worth the time and troublesave)

Hi, I just recently installed with the ff7 with the remix mods, and everything worked perfectly until I first entered battle with Barret. It seems that both Cloud and Barret appear only white without any textures. I saw a post earlier where someone had the same problem but sadly no one had a solution.
Operating System is Win7
Memory 4 gb
graphics ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470
The only mods I have installed where the ones that came with the Remix install.
If someone can please help me with this problem, it would be greatly appreciated.

Ive just installed ff7 and the normal one works just fine, but when i install remix patch 2.5.1 when i open it, goes black for like 4 seconds and then it comes back to desktop and it says "ff7 stopped working" error...

EDIT: I have fixed my previous issue. I needed to zip the .AVIs and extract the Eidos logo. It worked like a charm!
Hello again! Well, the last thing was steadly resolved, but now I have another problem: FF7 Music is acting up. Namely, it still loads the dumb midis instead of the MP3s! When I went to FF7 Music to configure it, I noticed the only option to choose is "PSF." "MP3," "remix," and "custom" are nowhere to be found! I tried manually re-adding the "MP3" option, but it seems to have somehow reverted to MIDI.
I actually don't plan on playing FF7 PC anytime soon past recruiting Tifa, but any help on this would be marvelous! Thanks in advance, of course.

Jus' wondering... What are the changes in magic.lgp? What purpose does seffect1.tex? What changes are in the char.lgp? What is changed in the menu_us.lgp? Same goes for chocobo.lgp and high-us.lgp. What about world_us.lgp?

I have a problem with cursor in main menu, after the additional opening movie (this Advent Children style). It's not moving at all, and 'Continue' stays gray all the time. What's wrong? Are there any controls options?

the standard arrow controls are 4826 on the numpad you can set them to whatever you like in game. continue is greyed out because you must not have a saved game yet

The problem is... that I don't have a num pad, it's a laptop. Any idea what to do?

yes there is a thread swimming somewhere on these boards that has a special control config for people starting the game on a laptop, if i find it I'll edit this post with a link. Try the search

Serfer and yarLson I believe that this config file can be placed in the main dir of the game to make normal keys work..

I used it on my first run to get my keyboard working.. i believe its then w,a,s,d keys and q,e,r,t,y, as the other buttons.. i do have a config file that has V and B set as the accept and cancel buttons and the arrow keys as the movement if anyone wants it uploading.

Make sure you're running the installer with admin privileges. That would be my best guess as to why you're getting that error.

I also have a one question. Is there any possibility of you making options with this patcher? I like a lot of what's in this Remix, but I don't want everything. Any plans for a way to choose which patches to install?
