17/12. For Japan, at least :-P

It will come out next year in the US, and in 2018 in Europe.

It's actually a shame that they couldn't get a Western release and PS3 slim bundle for Christmas; imagine the sales if they had :wink:

As it stands, the PS3 seems to be in for some big Christmas sales in Japan, seeing as console sales seem to spike dramatically there when a new RPG comes out.

At least..there's still the internet to view such good Console Action ( PS3 here in my place is kinda of a poor mans ENVY..If ya know what I mean...)
 
PS3 in every place is kinda a poor man's envy :-D

The price has come down a little recently, but it's still much higher than the other two consoles. Of course, one might say that it's unfair to compare a PS3 to an Xbox 360 Arcade or a Wii, seeing as the PS3 comes with free PSN and a hueg hard drive. A few years of Xbox Live costs as much as the Xbox 360 itself :|

But Europe gets treated badly by Japanese games companies; Chrono Trigger is a good example; it was released in 1995 in Japan and the US, but not until 2009 (DS version) in Europe. It's a pet peeve/obsession of mine :-P

I think Final Fantasy XIII is going to be all graphics and no "awesome classic Final Fantasy story" like VI, VII, VIII, IX, X.... :|

I was kidding, I was kidding! Well, there was actually hyperbole in there as well. Things aren't that bad any more.
 
Oh lawds, I just watched the trailer... that battle system looks *messy*. :/
I can't take the series seriously anymore, it's just irritating.  :-(
