Ugh I hate these games and I hate that I'll buy them anyway if they come to PC.
 
The first thing I thought of was "Cool, gonna get someone to rip me some models outside the forum because who gives a shit about copyright"
The second thing "Why did I let my brother buy two of those for our PS3"
The third thing "At least that means he can get 13-3 for free and I'll get him to spend those euros on xillia 2 instead"
 
My first thought was "Why the hell isn't Square Enix dead. It should be dead."

But it's also a way to mod the hell out of the game or use the game's engine for some reason. Like a possible fan made FFVII/VIII remake??? Tell me if something like that would be possible...
 
One more crap game coming to pc, great. Played just the first one and I didn't like it at all.
 
I hate that i will end up buying these terrible games, Just so Square knows that there are PC gamers out there, who would like to play JRPGs..

I suppose i should give it a chance, i only played 3 hours of XIII and shut it off because i would rather do other things haha

Play XIII-2... I also hated the first one. It was a game without character. But I like chono-travel related stories so I played the 2nd one to the max! :)
 
I'm thinking of the modding potential they have.

I also didn't like the battle mechanics, the game play. Not my style.
 
Just because a game exists on PC does not mean it will be easily modable. Skyrim is build from the ground up with the intention of being modable. Several other games, too.
But Final Fantasy? No way in hell mods will even be sanctioned.
 
Sanctioned? Obviously not. But FFXIII is pretty easily moddable on hacked consoles, and I can't imagine it'll be harder. At worst, it'll be about the same, but still without the hacked console requirement.
 
Well, just saw it on Steam. October 9th it's saying for FF13 although it can be 'pre-ordered' for a tenner at the moment.

Edit: It should also be noted that it's not a good sign when a game is visibly lagging in it's own promotional trailer.

It's the same trailer as the PS3/360 version
 
I thought it was the cinematic that plays before New Game shows up but I guess not; the way that video ran made me think it was being vid-captured in-game, like a PC that can't quite get the fps steady. Odd that a trailer would run like that, but maybe it's just Steam.

Indeed!

New management... Reconfiguring marketing strategies... Let's hope this will lead to some more loose approach to any fanbased material by them as well in the near future.
