I picked up that GPU today and I can't wait use it. It's in pristine condition. Dude only used it a couple of times. I have an old amd mobo/cpu i'm going to use till I get my Intel cpu. Next friday can't come fast enough so I can get some ram and a HDD! Then it's Wildstar time!

A decent air cooler is fine (I went for a triple copper pipe one).  I don't trust water coolers because if they fail (ok, unlikely), they ruin everything.  I have just had a comp made for me as follows:

Processor (CPU)   Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Processor i7-4770 (3.4GHz) 8MB Cache

Motherboard   ASUS® Z87-A: ATX, USB3.0, SATA6GB/S, SLi, XFIRE

Memory (RAM)   8GB KINGSTON HYPER-X BEAST DUAL-DDR3 2133MHz X.M.P (1 x 8GB)

Graphics Card   2GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 760 - 2 DVI, HDMI, DP - 3D Vision Ready

1st Hard Disk   120GB KINGSTON HYPERX 3K SSD, SATA 6 Gb/s (upto 555MB/sR | 510MB/sW)

I don't believe in overclocking.

Your gpu is comparable to mine.

I got mine to emulate as well.  I want to play Last Story for Wii, for a start.

Nice specs, I haven't invested in the 700 series yet. Is there a difference between my 600 series Titan and the new one?

DLPB, welcome to the thread my friend! That looks like a nice PC you got there. I was hoping my GPU would be comparable to at least a 750, so close to a 760 is just awesome. Just makes me even more excited! I want to pay The Last Story as well. Ever since I found out Nobuo did the soundtrack for the game (that was literally the selling pint for me).

Since my PC is going to be similar to yours, I believe we should be able to emulate just fine. I think I've decided on the I5 because after some research, most games don't make use of Hyper threading tech. I, on the other hand will be overclocking though. @Rundas, I don't know how the 700 series compare to your 600 Titan as i'm just learning about this stuff, but my friend just got the 750 TI FTW version and says it's an absolute beast for the price.

I've seen gameplay of the HD PS3 edition and it was running at a constant 60 fps, is there really slowdown? Like I said, the game doesn't even look good. I'm talking about graphically of course, the art is fantastic.
Mine doesn't play at 60. Mine plays at 30. Yes it's constant, and it can go up to 60, but it doesn't stay there.

Hi KyubiNemesis  8-)

I'll tell you a game no system seems to be able to play very well... Tekken Tag for PS2 emulated.  Even the ps3 backwards compat (that existed with some models) couldn't play it at full speed.  It could be that TT is using something that the emulators are not emulating.

I'll keep you posted whether my new system plays it at full speed.

Under $400? Not to be a total dicknose and I'm not sure of UK currency, but in the U.S. that would run you a good deal more than 400 even if you build it yourself. My processor was $350 and his, assuming it's 4th gen, is basically the same processor as mine. 700 series cards are also still pricey.

A very quick and dirty search rings that up at about £600 which is a little over a thousand US dollars.

Tekken Tag Tournament was a launch game. Extremely unlikely that it pushed the system to its max.

My PS3, as well as my old PC last time I tested it, seems to run it at exactly half-speed. This seems to me more like an emulation bug than the emulator struggling to keep up.

May I ask how much all that costed you? As your from the UK too looking to get a powerful PC like that under 400 at least
Even if you buy the comp parts yourself and assemble it yourself, it is never going to cost under 400.  The only way that could happen is if you went for used parts...  Brand new, no chance.  I had this one made for me from

https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/pcs/

for 741 (890 inc VAT) [Obviously my system comes with kb, mouse and so forth that I also chose).

It's cost around 150 more to have them build it, than for me to do it myself, but I gladly pay that for the guarantee.  They are a very good company and will replace parts, and pick it up for repair, depending on the cover you pay.  Building my own comp would also have proved a hassle I can do without.

Well, first observations:

Tekken Tag runs at full speed
Final Fantasy X runs at full speed
Last Story runs at full speed

So there you are.

That's awesome man! So I have a makeshift PC running right now. AMD A6-3650 2.7 CPU. Gigabyte HD 7850 2gb, Corsair Vengeance 8gb Memory, 120gb Corsair SSD. With this setup I can run Skyrim at ultra settings 1080p @55 FPS! I tried to run Twilight Princess with Dolphin, but the CPU is too weak. But the main thing is Wildstar runs great and very smooth! So i'm going to wait a couple months and then upgrade to the I5 4670k.
