Game crash on startup

Hi not sure if this is the right please, im getting the error below. It opens and goes past the credits then crashes before  you can start the game.

I resolved by removing ff7 mod app and re installing without updating. It seems version 1.55 broke everything. Now mynonly issue is getting audio to go through hdmi. It was worth the two hours I spent getting. It to work. I love this mod!

1.55 had a major bug where the game crashes at the point you mentioned if any of the save slots were empty. The workarounds were to either fill all your save slots, or change to versions 1.54/1.56.

I tried adjusting the audio settings in the ff7 config file but that didn’t seem to output through hdmi. Wondering if asio 4all driver will help since it can receive multiple audio streams at same time. Either way it’s working great so far totally refreshed experience with the  textures.
