Gosh... FF VII FMVs

Hello, I´m new.
 I found my FF7 PC disks and I installed.
Then, I updated to Official Eidos Patch 1.02
 I start the game, but when the FMV finished I only could see a black screen,and i heard some sounds.

My specs:
Windows XP
1 GB Ram
Sound Blaster Live! 5.1
nVidia Riva TNT2 Model 64\Model 64 Pro
 
I see, you're having the "Invalid User"-bug.
Happens when you're you.

I suggest trying it again, because that's the solution. Also, disable the ffdshow decoding.
 
Le´t me explain.
I start FFVII
I can watch the Eidos and squaresoft movies,then I start a new game.
The FMV runs well but when the FMV over appers a black screen, and i only can see a black screen.
But i can hear sound efects.
 
That's actually quite impressive.

Have you installed any other patches/mods except the aforementioned Eidos 1.02?

Try 2.No
Try end all programs.
Try older/other VGA drivers, configure VGA drivers
Try other OS.
Try if data are not corupt,...
Try ....

I installed ACE Mega CoDecS Pack.
And now is working.

From a system admin point of view, that was a VERY big mistake installing something like that
