Yeah the left arm is a little wierd.  Are there any thinner arm parts you could use, or is that pretty much the best one?  The right side looks great btw...

P.S:  It still looks great though, I just hope it looks that good on other characters...
 
I still can't get that link working.. maybe it's an IE thing, i dunno =/
 
can someone zip the new patch?  i dont have winrar and dont want any dumb evaluation software on my comp.
 
WinRAR's not bad.  (WinZip is evaluation software as well, anyway, unless you pay the $$$).
If you don't let it integrate into the shell (WinRAR, that is - it's an option during setup), then you'll never know its there :P
 
I have a registered winzip, winrar annoys me although it is better... and I'm having trouble installing apps on this computer.

So if someone could zip the new version I would be grateful.
 
ok... sorted, got winrar installed... unfortunatly the new patch isnt downloading, can someone upload it somewhere or something?

You just replace char.lgp in the "field" folder with an original version (found on the cds)
 
This is really neat, will patch my FF7 in a  moment because this will make it look so much better.
 
Has Srethron Askvelhtnod been around?  Any news on the arm fixing patch me and him discussed earlier in the thread?
 
Prohosting isn't letting me download the latest file (v1.5).  Could anyone upload it somewhere else ?

Ok, a couple of quick questions:

1.) The hand patch also seems to affect "world_us.lgp" in the "[ff7 directory]\data\wm\" folder as well, does it not?  If so, then wouldn't only replacing char.lgp with one from the CDs only uninstall the patch halfway? :P

2.) According to the readme, you've managed to edit character animations in order to accomidate the hand patch...I thought we couldn't decode FF7's animation data, much less know where it's stored....?
 
Ah....so its possible to add completely new frames of animation to the current ones, I suppose?

If so, it might be a good idea to have a few animation frames that could be used to transition from open hand to closed fist -- that might help hide some of the oddness that some animations currently have with the character's hands being open all the time.
 
From my work with the High-Res Cloud Patch (outside of battle - and patch is still unreleased) I've found that you can't have additional frames in animations. But you can however replace it with a big animation and edit that so you have more frames to work with.

Now I got idea ... i'll change few anims and make a "Tifa walking drunk patch"  :D
Hell another thing to do...
