Handicapable Cloud + Nanaki + Armoured Nanaki

I was talking to someone, and he gave me the idea to put Cloud in the wheelchair through the entire game.

I did it, and while I was making it, it occurred to me that Sephiroth STABBED cloud through the middle, and it certainly looked like the Masamune was going through his spine, so yeah, after Nibelheim, he became paralized from the waist down!

(and in the zack death, he never stands up, he just crawls around, which further supports this mod.)

anyway, here's a pic.

I changed every field model to have a wheelchair (except flashback ones) and I added in a special shinra soldier who was in a wheelchair for when Cloud is in Junon and changed the model for Cloud there.

If anyone is interested, I'll release this.

Um.... How's that going to work out with limits? Not to say it's not an amusing idea, but I can't imagine Cloud in a wheel chair doing things like dressing like a woman, jumping off a train, performing Omnislash, etc.
Also, It's a major plot point that Jenova cells can heal injuries like that.
 
The wheelchair is moved along as if he has legs, but the wheels are static.

I find it odd that you mention limit breaks and NOT the fact he climbs ladders.

Personally I found it amusing to watch the wheelchair stay at his waist, even while he's doing things like meteorain, omnislash, climhazard, climbing ladders, etc.
 
The guy regularly carries around a sword that probably weights over 200 lbs, can swing it like it's a wiffle bat and it's NOT odd that he can climb ladders with only the strength of his arms? :)
 
while keeping a wheelchair securely at his waist? did he wrap his legs aroud it or use the same cement for his hair on the chair? =P

are you going to give the other crutches? (maybe link it to the HP, if the HP is getting low for someone, get them crutches   :roll:)

Do we need to adjust all the fields to make them wheel chair friendly?

...I did this after talking to someone and he said it would be funny if Nanaki had his back legs off and those wheels on instead.

Barret: I ain't carryin' your spiky ass up those 60 flights of stairs!

Tifa: You can always... drag your chair up, or kinda... hop...

Cloud: ...How in the hell am I going to hop up around 6000 stairs!?

also, I rewrote othe bits of the game, such as when Tifa is ahnging onto cloud's arm after th air buster fight, speaking of which, Cloud's wheelchair would weigh 42 pounds. :P

I got this to work by quite simply...

I glued the wheelchair to cloud's waist, then I cut off cloud's legs and feet, glued them to his waist.

Presto, 100% working cloud, I was looking at most of his animations, and very few even need to be changed since his waist is at a consistent height (ie, while walking, running, using his sword, etc) and during some scenes, its just amusing to watch cloud flip off trains and whatnot. =3

so, no field edits had to be done, apart from making a new char.lgp hrc file of a shinra soldier with a wheelchair, and then tell the flevel to load that instead of the normal soldier that cloud becomes in Junon and on the cargo ship.

This mod opens a whole new "level" of pain =D

Though I think Cloud is more of the serious sarcastic (... yes conflicting indeed) type then the screaming complainer.

errr.... talking about animation....how do you plan to solve the cutscene where cloud escapes on a motorbike?

Those don't need to be changed, and for the motorcycle minigame, all i really did was kill the motorcycle off and replaced it with the wheelchair, so yaaaay, wheelchair to the rescue!
 
And jumping off the pillar in Sector 7? Cloud somehow shimmies up to Barret's head?

I know, this is just for fun, but this game wasn't designed for a handicapped map being the main character.

A wheel'd Nanaki seems fun until you get to the Junon boat scene, but still fun stuff. :)

Now we need a derp'd Cait Sith. :D
 
can we have a blind Caith, constantly walking into everyone, waving a stick around?
Barret could be deaf (due to the giant gun at his hand) that could be easily done by changing his dialogue to "What did you say....?"

Cloud doing 200mph on a turbo-charged wheeliechair while swinging his massive sword chopping off Shinra soldiers on bikes and saves the day? O.o Surely this is a must watch haha xD Don't forget the exhausts with some firepower coming out from behind ;)
