Can we drop everyone who's, say, 3 posts or less who hasn't joined in the last week or two? Basicly clear out the "useless" members?

I was just going through the user lists, and I happen to noticed about 2/5 the list on the first page alone was people with 3 or less posts, who haven't joined in the last two weeks, and I thought it might be good to drop them, since it doesn't look like many of them will be posting again anytime soon...

Just a thought...

get some grunts off the board to help out. *cough*i'magrunt*cough*

Wouldn't be at all time consuming for anyone with access to the database; a simple SQL query would do it...

I agree a lot. But, old members.....hmmmmmm...

Aaron, halkun, cadberry......

old members with 3 posts or less. what ever happened to halkun?

I miss all the old members.. :weep:

Even Cadberry's illogical dissings

Hehe, but making a small query error could end up with something disasterous ;)
Just j/k I'll do it after my exam and after Qhimm gives the ok.

Why don't we e-mail them and tell them to come back?
Cadberry used to hang out here a lot.  I

Yeah, email everyone on the board(not 12 times though!) and tell them all the old unposting members will be cleared out and to log back in if they want to keep their accounts.

What's the point of removing people's accounts?
Why bother to remove people, they may just like browsing and only post when they have something to ask?  I see no harm in that, certainly less annoying than those Obsessive Compulsive posters. :x

Well it takes up Qhimm's webspace to have all those unused accounts, and who would you say to be an obsessive compulsive poster ( I feel like I may be walking into a trap with that question)

he was obviously refering to joey, ps, and i. (when did i turn to the dark side and get on that list?)

I don't get why we would do this.  It's not as if the names take up valuable webspace, and the people may come back.  It's not hurting anything for them to be on there, is it?  If it is, then, by all means, remove them.

no miller it's just that the ammount of inactive people is greater than the active people.  and if we could get rid of all of thoes inactive people we might only have 2 pages of users and the forums wouldn't mess up with the numbers as i'm thinking.
