Honeybee Manor XG MIDI problem...

Hi!

I don't know if anybody else has this problem... or if it's just me. If I let the Honeybee Manor MIDI file from the XG MIDI files play through... then some of the music is delayed by an entire section. Does anyone have this problem... and if so did they find a way to fix it?  :-?

are u using softsynth? like syxg50?
if so try turning ur cpu usuage down for the softsynth,
midis optimised for XG with heavy amount of intruments in them (ie gold saucer) cause lag during the playing and take much longer to start up

Sorry about me not being clear as to what I meant...  

I know what you thought I meant, Skillster, but what I was meant to say was that it is meant to be cued there... and is written into the MIDI file to play at the wrong time... follow this link and I'm sure you'll understand what i mean by the delay...

that wave files doesnt reveal anything weird accept the music is a split second late (unless u pressed RECORD a second late )

Hmmm... this is going to be difficult to explain.  :-?

If you listen to the original MIDI file or the OST track of 'Honeybee Manor' then you'll hear that when the scale goes down and up as in the .wav file, it is meant to play another little scale just after. Instead... the MIDI plays that little extra scale after the second larger scale, and it is therefore playing 2 bars later than it should. If you listen to the end of the .wav file, you can hear the final scale bar playing there when it shouldn't. All that has to be done is to move the playback position back about 2 bars... but I don't have the software at the moment to do that. Listen to another MIDI file to understand what I'm talking about.  :wink:

Original MIDI:

1 - Large Scale
2 - 1st small scale
3 - Large Scale
4 - 2nd small scale
5 - Large Scale
6 - 3rd small scale
7 - Large Scale
8 - Final small scale

XG MIDI:

1 - Large Scale
2 -
3 - Large Scale
4 - 1st small scale
5 - Large Scale
6 - 2nd small scale
7 - Large Scale
8 - 3rd small scale
