I find that there're only two files on FF8 ps disk, one's name is like SLUS_009.09,the other is *.img, I guess the *.img file is the data file. But How can i extract it.?And how can i extract the *.pak file on FF8 PC edition disk?I'm sorry for my poor English,I can't speak English well?

Try copy and pasting it...then possibly one of Fice's apps

www.ficedula.co.uk

then select his main site.

im sure i saw something about psx disc readers there....

What do you mean Extract?
The Img files contain thousands of data files.  Each file is aligned to 2K offsets (or a CDROM sector) including the movie files (which use an extra 256 bytes per sector for movie data).

What are you trying to extract?
I've been able to find the model files in FF9 I just haven't gone very far, they appear similar to FF8s (which Qhimm has had some success with).

I've made program called Unmass which can handle them ... check out my homepage

I see.... I thought the img file is just a package. But I'm worry.
What about the PC DISK ? There's only some file named *.pak. Are they packages? How to get the *.mch or other files

Im probably wrong, but i dont think much has been done on ANY version of FF8...only on 7

Some has been done, it was not as popular a game as 7. :)

Snailrush might be a start for you. :)
