Hi, Well i want to know how can i get the best performance possible i the game when i am playing, my computer is more than good to run the game but the graphics of the game doesn't are so good....
My PC is:
AMD ATHLON XP +2000
Abit NF7-S Rev 2.0
Ati Radeon 9600XT
Ram 2x 256 PC333 HyperX (In Dual Channel)
SATA MAXTOR 120GB 7200Rpm
Sound Blaster Live
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
now i'm playing the game with software render, and i have installed all the patches that exist in the internet, i read that the game can run with FSAA, but i just dont know how to do it...
well if someone knows how can i make a configuration that "maximise" the performance of the game, (in the graphics at least) please tell me step by step... THANX...

As far as I know....FF7PC's Hardware mode is only do-able on a Nvidia card. No tricks on getting Software mode faster. Only choice would be to get the the PS1 version.

you better have to make a "refresh" of your Knowledge  :D

Downloading the 1.02 patch will allow you to run the game in hardware video mode on an ati card. As of yet I think that FSAA is only possible on nvidia cards, as it produces grid lines on ati cards.

Running the game using soundfonts or the Yamaha XG midi software emulator also gives the game better quality music.

Apply the 1.02 Patch + the Chocobo Patch.. make sure you have Catalysts version 3.6 or better (or the Omega drivers). That's the best you're gunna get out of your ATI card.

Well ATI isn't my thing....can't exactly experiment with something I don't own.

Getting the PS1 version will allow you better resolution than using the PC version.  Well theoretically in any case.

Actually it would be better looking and you can pick the resolution have a LOT more control etc.
