You would be an awesome asset. Here's how you can get started.

First you need to get a copy of Gears, which is an absolutly inaccurute and incredabably incomplete refrence for the original FF7 engine. You can get the PDF here.

After going through that, get an SVN client, go the the q-gears sourceforge page.

Grab the latest SVN version and start hacking.

You will need a sourceforge username to commit to SVN. send it to me and I'll put you into the dev group.
