i need help with demon gate in ff7

ive been trying 2 beat demon gate for like a week now and i always die. can anyone give me any pointers on this? im using aeris as the healer and cloud and barret are attacking.

A little bit of training before going to Ancient's Temple would be enough... I've always lvl-ed-up while gaining gold to buy a GoldTicket, when going to GoldSaucer for the first time

ok, but i savedright before the demon gate battle, and i kept over righting mysaves.

I didn't have any trouble with him, but my book says this:

Cast slow on Demon's Gate
Use Barrier and Haste on the party
The Heal materia will help with petrify attacks. If you don't have it, you will need softs

By the way, don't use poison, gravity, or earth spells. Poison and gravity have no effect and earth does half damage.
