Are you tricking everybody to click on that ad? Nevertheless, they never claim that the quality of the DVDs that were transferred from VHS will match the real DVDs. SO I didn't think the advertisers want to cheat there.
It's impossible to make Video tapes have higher quality than what's on the tape.
And if you read it CAREFULLY, they never say you'll get in on DVD, but into DVD FORMAT. That means changing it into MPEG2 and probablly burning it onto a normal CD, finding a way to make it "think" it's a DVD. I've tried it... It won't play on most commerical DVD players, but it'll work fine on DVD drives for your computer.
To work in a commerical DVD player, you need to have a DVD burner, or a player capible of playing burned CDs. (I think the Philips one is currently the only one that does...)
