I want some recommentdations for PS3 JRPGs

So, I've just finished watching MGS4 and I'm looking to play a JRPG (as traditional as possible in terms of gameplay). I've played (and thoroughly enjoyed) Valkyria Chronicles and I'm a little sceptical about investing time in FF13 thanks to all the terrible things I've heard about it; what decent games are out there for the PS3 ATM? Is Eternal Sonata worth playing? Is Demon's Souls likely to appeal to a JRPG player? (I know it's Japanese, but it looks a lot like a WRPG)

I am not sure since I did not play eternal sonata but a friend of mine plays it and says good things about it and he doesn't even want to leave his house in the weekends just to play so I must say its worth your time to play it.

been playing ff13 lately and despite others, i absolutely love it!


its not an rpg persay, and its for ps2, but there's always Genji, very japanese and theres stores and leveling up in it, though its quite short and involves lots of fighting.
