there arent any serious ones,  cuz we cant edit field files well enough yet. >=(
 
maybe something like the ff9 mod for FF8?
and is there a improved FF7 configuration utility?
 
Well ... (blatent plug!)

I've written a few things:

-FF7Music will - in theory - let you replace the MIDI music with any other type of file (eg. MP3's). It's still pretty buggy though.

-Cetra will let you run FF7 in a window or in 32-bit colour modes.
