Item Editing

I apologizes in advance if this is a double post. 

Is there a way to edit item in the Final Fantasy 7 PC version?  I'm looking at things like adding slots or increasing damage.  i know it cheap but I'm on my 1billionth time through the game and am looking to just mess around.

if you can find a way to manipulate data for sweet weapons or extract then you can go far  :-D :-D :-D but if not... good luck LOL

I had the same question only just recently.  I received my answer here in this thread.  I'll admit it is an annoying endeavor, as you have to unpack files before you can edit them, but the end results I think are worth it.  I ended up making the Enhance Blade have triple growth, but a really weak attack (like only 2 or something), so I thought it was a nice tradeoff.  Follow this link and in that thread you'll find the links to modify weapons.  If you have any other questions, let me know and I'll see what I can do for you.
