Jenova-related question

Hallo. Is there a way to put Aerith back into the party without her being locked in? I am not trying to transcend her story-necessary death, I just want to experience the second half of the game with her limit breaks and that 'PONG' sound her staffs make.

Is there a way to recover a version of her from before the temple of the ancients, when she was still removable from the party? Or is there another way of changing this variable?

I've been searching these forums in the hope someone else had asked this question, and am impressed with the civility here. I thank you in advance for your replies.
 
I'm pretty sure there is a patch for that somewhere.....but I never bothered with it, so I don't really know.
 
Not as far as I can tell, either.  All you can do is put her in your party, save at every given point, and if at any time she leaves, just get to the next save, fire up jenova and pop her back in =/
