And the keys still work? Impressive.
I keep it on a little desk beside my bed (next to my head) and I have a little mouse that works on my bed. It's a really great setup and there's no risk of sticky keys.
Lol Acer is okish. I hate how their formatting disks comes with alot of spamware. But yeah, mine used to be used for that  :P
Okayish other than the crappy hinges, screens, disc drives, and keyboards.

Really, you're lucky if it doesn't fall apart.

So I was lucky?

I call it "Hal"  the harddrives are named:

Main - Kasparov
backup 1 - Newton
Backup 2 (broke now) Feynman
Backup 3 (broke now) Einstein

Sometimes different names but usually those.

Desktop - Dr. Cool
HP Laptop - still hasn't proven itself to me. It won't be an HP for long. I'm gonna wipe it clean and make it a Linux beast!

Haha love the name frankenputer.

Bringing computers back from the brink of death is quite fun. Well... not fun but an interesting hobby.

Speaking of which, I'm taking a couple old cellphone, my PSP, and various other gizmo's to make my own mini GlaDOS. WHEEE!!!

and Crazy Diamond is for Syd Barrett, one of the founding members of the best band to ever walk this earth.
I have never seen a statement so true in all my life. I have listened to all of Pink Floyd so much that I can pretty much just play the songs in my head whenever. Good way to pass time at school/work  :P
Want some recordings from before they were Pink Floyd?  Yeah, I'm that crazed a fan.

I refer to our desktop at the Auxiliary Control Center.

I call my laptop Basestar.

I looked for them once before, my mom told me about how amazing it was. Never heard it for myself sadly. Would be amazing if you could share the wealth =]

I don't get why it isn't reversed considering the names?

sl1982-Desktop, sl1982-Laptop

Cant get much more creative then that :P

Only because I got my desktop first (years ago). And was watching BSG when I got my laptop.

Ah that makes sense. Reason I was confused is cause I figure a Desktop would be back at base/basestar, and laptop is a good Auxiliary Control Center with all the desktop connection stuff where you could control your desktop from a starbucks.
But yeah, now I see it had to do with timing rather then purpose.

Yeah, I did actually consider calling my laptop Raider, instead. But that made it seem so... expendable.

starting to see what kudistos meant about my HP, i've been getting this weird issue where my mousepad randomly turns itself off and i need to close and open the laptop to get it to work again, very frustrating when it does that while i'm using photoshop.

Make sure you set your laptop to not turn off or go on standby or anything when you close the lid! Will save you some of that frustration haha
