Hello guys,
i have a little problem...
SO,
i used the FF7 remix -patch 2.5.1 to patch my, GERMAN (!)
version of the game, but it did not work... ok.
I thought, alright, all i want, was this cloud battle model...
i copied the battle.lgp , with the cloud model in my foulder...
and it worked BUT.
Barret was totally black and cloud sword was too.

PS: i tried to use the remix-german-patch but it did not work for me , because it cannot
find my CD o_0

Would be nice if smeone could help me

Firstly you aren't doing any project, soo this is wrong forum to post this.

 Your battle.lgp have mixed files from few not-too-compatible-with-automatic-install mods making new model using standard texture of an face expression to whole body something similar with the sword or it's a problem with the custom driver which I doubt(I dunno even if german version have 1.02 patch which is required for Aali's custom driver, through textured models work even without custom driver as long as you can make the game running).

 Anyway get some tools and learn more about mods you wanna "install" and just add them manually which is always best and will most likely work on any version of the game. Or install them in different order couse most likely the mod you installed as last changes files required for ones you installed before. I never used remix patch, and only similar problem somebody had, he fixed by replacing battle.lgp to original one, which is useless if you actually want new models, through it points that this surely is just an awfully mixed from different mods lgp file. Maybe the remix patch have such customised "work version" of battle.lgp which then uses to apply different mods correctly, I can't really guess that, but surely the battle.lgp you have from that patch isn't made to work good on itself.

i already tried to patch manually , with the 9999breaking patch ...  works quite fine and NPC-RP 0.6 works too.
but i cannot find the cloud battle model which is in this pack, maybe some1 can post link ?
because he's the reason i installed this patch.

PS: today i saw a site , where somebody showed his AC-models, which , i think, should be in this forum too, but they are deleted.
my question is, are they deleted because they are ripped or was that his choice ?

When I joined qhimm forums there were only 2 fully textured custom models of Cloud, one had parts of Dissidia game through, and is currently unsupported(through still inside remix patch? - maybe) and other one custom AC one by Kula Wende, through I saw download link cut from release post by moderator, and not really sure if it's supported or was considered illegal so I dunno about reposting it.>.> Anything that is found using even partially ripped models or their textures is unsupported on qhimm forums, even screenshots of those or tutorials how to rip things yourself. You can read all that in forum rules. And if you mean you saw Kula Wende site with screenshot of models he ripped, he deleted links himself most likely after getting a letter from square enix about legal issues of what he released and that he should put it down if he doesn't want problems. But he returned lately with completely new and custom model of his work soo maybe he'll release this one soon.

 Anyway probably my last guess was correct that this battle.lgp is just a base to add other mods without problems and it shouldn't be used for it's own you should try to ask in feedback topic of Remix patch how to make it see your CD which was your problem installing it.
 Through if you want only that model you already have and fix black weapons/barret it's pretty easy to do, you'll need lgp/unlgp or lgptools. Firstly get those and learn how to use those tools. Then unpack this remixed battle.lgp to one folder, unpack original one to different folder. Now copy files from rtck to rtcz from the folder you unpacked original lgp to the one with the "remixed" one you had to regain original weapons. Then delete all files starting from sb**(sbaa to sbda) in folder containing remixed files and copy same files(from sbaa to sbda through probably there'll be less of them) from folder containing original files to the one with remixed ones. That will restore original Barret. Then pack the remixed folder files to new battle.lgp using same tools and you'll have only Cloud model changed. I dunno how many textures that remixed Cloud model have couse it seems to be customized to work with different weapon mods, soo I dunno really if you can then simply install textured weapons over that without actually learning what you are doing.


 IF you do want to learn actually what you're doing, check this as first: https://www.ff7catalog.com/threads/5904/ you have info about every file you change inside lgp archives which is extremely usefull. Learning how to use Kimera or anything to change texture ID's and/or add new textures helps too if you wanna mix a few different mods that use textures. If you have any experience at using pc except gaming it should just come automatically without any tutorials and stuff as most modding tools are very easy to use.

 The more I see posts like yours the more I feel that this remix patch just complicates things more than writing simple tutorials covering manual "remixing" of different mods which doesn't really need much if anything to learn if you aren't console player with no computer experience.

since morning i learned this moddeling , editing , viewing tutorials
i installed all tools , kimera, biturn , lgptools... pcreator .
and a few minutes ago i tried to use lgptools first..
oooookay. hehe.
first problem , lpg stucks at 652 files , i opened the MODIFIED battle.LGP
then i tried the modified char.lgp , stucks at somethin like 1.700files.

and finally opened the non-modified char.lgp.
and it worked quite fine...
so, for unknown reasons... lgptools dislikes the remix-battle.lgp und char.lgp
since i have only the german version it's difficult, using the remix-patcher : /
but my friend gave me the original US version (yes, no pirate version <3 )
so i tried it there, voila, works without any problems...
