Well. Fuck me. Shit just got serious.

Not only did Mako attempt to talk Timu into letting her host his work - probably meaning the entire Team Avalanche. Which pretty much confirmed my suspicions that this was an attempt at a takeover (details to follow, right about now I don't feel much gentlemanly about her private info, either) - which had been my suspicion all along.

But I just got hijacked from our IRC channel by the server OPs.

Apparently we had acquired her financial information - this would mean credit card numbers and such. Only we have not, we are not interested in those, and for that matter; we have no way of doing that, either. Unless someone shows me how to grab CC-info via PayPal.

And I had intimidated her. Well, I did question her. It didn't seem very intimidating, considering that at end she said that she'd still like to be my friend, before saying goodbye.

And that I had mentioned her personal information on the channel. Sure. I did mention her and her husband's first names, leaving the rest out. Also, I mentioned their email addresses, up to the @-sing. That's about as much personal information I mentioned. Unless I forget something. But oh well, I have logs.

Had an interesting chat with the server OPs of Esper.net - it took them about minute or two to figure out that we accept donations via PayPal and can't possibly have her CC-info. We had few words about them personal details; my view differs from theirs in the sense that I do not see much harm in posting parts of them, and yes, I do see an use for it, when I'm questioning a former troll, who tries her hardest to evade me, and backs down only when I present her with more information. I actually am not sure if that breaches esper.net-policy, should probably check.

This was purely an attempt to cause harm to us, by her.

So, keep that in mind, when you read her sob stories.

Like I said, more details to follow, and I am very, very tempted to mention both her and her husband's actual details right about now.

PS. Lesson learned. You can't kickban server OPs. Ooops. ;D Sowwy about that, I thought someone was playing a prank on me. Also, you can't tell them apart from a normal user, at least with Miranda. Which might have added to possible confusion. :P

PPS. Attempting to kickban said OPs can apparently lead to glitches, either on the client or server end. Leading to kickban of Master himself and SL. Ooops. ;D Lesson number two learned. Also, you can apparently kickban an OP, like Master. Lesson number three. ;D I learned a lot today. :D

Oh well. No harm done. Except she pretty much proved what this was all about. Also, expect more of this. She won't stop here, that I'm sure of.

A takeover of what?

The entire forum. She offered to pay for the hosting, when the server was being flaky. Which would have of course meant that the domain would be transferred to her, and would be hers to do as she pleases. She was nice enough to promise that it would still be called Qhimm.com.

That was the thing that really raised red flags for me.

Very novel way of getting even with a forum that banned you once. Of course, she is loaded, so that - and her sizable donation - are pocket change for her.

So, what exactly happened with Masteraden back in the day?

I obviously wasn't around back then, and the fact that he deleted his first account makes it hard to find out everything he said publicly (let alone in PMs or on IRC). From what I could find (mostly what was posted by this incarnation and a few topics started by his previous one), he seems pretty tame compared to Hermoor or even Seifer. Did he do something monstrous behind the scenes, or am I overestimating how hated he is by the mods?

Ah, so I take it that was what sparked the background check.

Well, that's just it. I think it's all there. I got a PM or two - mostly Seifer-level bitching. I think the dealbreaker was that he - apparently - kept complaining and complaining and complaining (about me, I'd assume) to admins, pointing to threads where he trolled himself. That's what got SaiNt angry.

At least I'm pretty sure he didn't do anything particularly remarkable, or I would remember it. I think.

Well, not really. Sure, I suspected something fishy back then, but since she was behaving and the forums weren't going anywhere, I didn't do anything about it.

It was actually herself that brought up the connection to masteraden, soon after we uncovered Mendy-chan and I believe I did mention few times that we ban for life.

But I'd rather leave the complete explanation into one, larger, coherent post, when we figure out how much info we are going to post.

Hm, I look forward to hearing about all of this nonsense.

These forums know how to make some enemies, man. But hey, good moderation comes at a price, m i rite? Life's about balance.

That's three as far as I can count. Seifer "Careaga" Almasy, Hermaphroditus, and Mako-aden. Mayhaps we need a trollcyclopedia?

I'd - at least still - rather just go with masteraden. Mako - even all things considered - didn't really troll during her time here. Feel free to add Rubicant, Mofokubik, and RPGillespie, plus his flunkies to the list, though.

We are most likely going to present at least part of our evidence, and I've already told you my greatest suspicion and the reason why I assumed this to be social hacking.

I'd pretty much prefer if we kept the name calling to a minimum. Please.

So, I did some digging around with those names and I found something amusing:

I later realised that this was because of the word filter, but it's still pretty funny :D
Lol nice that confused me at first. :P It made me think "Really? Hermoor was trolling on qhimm in 2003?" :0

I really love this forum. I tried to go to sleep about 5 hours ago and have spent the night lying there, too warm (somehow... it's snowing here and I'm too warm) so I get up to occupy myself and here's some more dramz. Its better than a soap opera. Thank you internets.

Hermoor would have been 10 years old at most. He probably would have had the same level of maturity he has now ;D

I also noticed the same person talking about his graphics card a few posts down. 64MB of graphics memory? I love looking at old forum posts and seeing how much computer hardware has improved since then :-P

Don't forget to tune in next week ;)

Or tomorrow :-P

There's bound to be plenty more drama ;D

If Mako truly was ill-intending, she's certainly the closest to adequate of all the forum's enemies I've seen.  That she successfully deceived us all is, objectively, quite impressive.

I'd like to clear up that this had little to do with Mako's behavior; it is purely about the existing ban on masteraden. Lifetime bans are exactly that (lifetime), and repeat offenders are routinely re-banned as they try to return. Indications that masteraden was back led to his earlier ban being quickly extended, leading us to the current situation.

As Ammo pointed out earlier, Mako has behaved well through-out her stay here so far and following the renewed ban as well, with few exceptions. Though she maintains her innocence, she has nonetheless conveyed sincere apologies for any trouble caused. So please refrain from any name-calling while we figure out how to deal with the situation.

Well...  I don't think authority on how all of us should behave gets any higher than that.  As you wish.
