im trying to add most of the mods to my ff7 the "neat compilations patch"

and i was having problems with the vamp patch.

i copy the patch folder and delete the patches i dont want then i transfer the files into the main ff7 folder.

once i do that and i start the install bat. none of the patches install, only the 9999 limit exceed.

and then once i do that it seems to delete the ff7.exe file... which i dont seem to understand?

whats going on here?

Seeing as all you say is Vamp, all I can assume is that you installed AnimeVamp patch for Windows XP, in which case....
I think for once I might actually be sick of repeating myself.

Do a search for "AnimeVamp"  I'm sure you'll find out all about it.

sorry about that but i meant vista... does that work for the same?

ill try it in the meantime

ummm i downloaded it from the torrent reactor...and it comes with most of the patches.

it worked fine when i did it on my laptop...but now that, thats broken and i have moved on...

it does seem to work.

Okay, here it is.

AnimeVamp patch = Patch to make FFVII work perfectly on XP
Problem = It's a well known virus.

I'm pretty sure it's about YAMP. The version you downloaded from the torrent is probably not the newest one - it will give you problems while installing on Vista if the FF7 resides in "Program Files". Also, running install.bat as administator is usually needed.

ok well ill try running it as an admin.

hopefull that works...  :|

it worked!

so i think i have installed all the patches and now my only problem is the black screen when i start a new game... any suggestions ppl?

maybe some can send me a file save of the first save in the beginning of the game when you get in the reactor?

maybe that will work...but i am welcome to any suggestions :?

ok so if i download that patch, can some one explain how to install it?

cuz the faq doesnt say how.

The YAMP patch comes with me a Readme file, when downloaded.  It tells you how to install it in greater detail than the FAQ.
