At the risk of sounding very repetitive; if you had asked about this in the forums first, you would have heard about Coral - because I would have suggested it to you.

...and I think that says just about all that is needed about this thing and all that is wrong with it. :x

See first post... Major edit made.

Now I will only try to add a comment to my torrent on every torrent site I am able to track.
This comment will look like this: "Don't bother with my torrent. You can download newer version of the files directly at https://www.ff7catalog.com/posts/55550/."
Admins, is that ok with you?

I looked into this Coral thing and it seemed to me that all it's good for is to back-up servers and to save the bandwidth as they say so  I wouldn't be able to upload my site since I've had none. Now I have. :-D Though no pages yet...

I'm no admin, but I split the discussion about the torrent to a new thread, in case you are wondering where the posts have gone.

You might want to change the links so that they use Coral though, no?

Because as it currently is, everything is coming from your account, and I don't know how much bandwidth it has.

Just do as they say on the Coral-page, append ".nyud.net:8080" to the hostname, and Coral will cache it for you.
Ie. turn http://fem1.uniag.sk/Miroslav.Jezik/ff7/1. ff7 v1.02 official patch.zip into http://fem1.uniag.sk.nyud.net:8080/Miroslav.Jezik/ff7/1. ff7 v1.02 official patch.zip

I tried it with the Hi-Res patch, and it worked perfectly.

Just curious, what's with the spaces in URLs? Didn't they teach you that that is a bad thing to do? It will work with most servers these days, but it still tends to turn into a nasty alphabet soup; "%20" instead of a space - or break the automatic parsing, like you can see from my post. Underscores are a pretty good substitute.

EDIT: Fixing grammar. Oh, you might want to Coral the screenshots as well, if this thread gets lots of hits they might create a surprising amount of traffic.

You are right the %20 thing looks nasty. I've fixed that along with some minor things. Well to tell the truth you are the first to teach me that.

For now I think it's not really necessary to back-up the server with Coral. And I'm still a bit sceptical about this. When I see Coral globally used at other sites I may try it myself.

EDIT (after next post): By globally I mean you will rarely come across a site that's not using Coral.

Assuming that you meant "rarely come across a site that is using Coral"...

That's because most people have enough bandwidth these days. Whether you want to utilize Coral's capabilities is entirely up to you - I don't care, as long as it's not a torrent on questionable sites - if you have enough bandwidth then you don't need Coral. Plain and simple.

EDIT in first post: Added some video samples  :-o

If you wonder where did the music come from see Replacing some mp3s by tracks from OST FF7 - Reunion tracks and FF7 - Advent Children in my Step-by-step instructions.

I'm sorry the music in videos is speeding. Capturing the video slowed-down the game (but not music) so I had to speed-up the videos along with the audio after that to mantain original speed of the video.  :|

It's the latest v1.51 from last year. (I'll fix that)
I don't presume there will be any newer.. shame.
But this one in the package is really flexible, usable and fine.
You just need to read and follow that step-by-step instructions.

Hmm, it seems you should have backed it up over Coral... because as of right now (and all day today, really, EST) your site has been down. Coral cache basically means zero downtime. (provided it has access to the files in the first place).

You're right.
I'll back it up at corel as soon as it's back on.
EDIT: Done. Though I've noticed the download speed is much much slower and respond time is quite longer. Well, at least it's backed (or replaced would seem a better word).

Nevertheless there were very few dropouts in the history of university's servers and this one particulary is the longest I remember. Nice Xmas present for them and for us as well.

And I'll fix those glithes in ff7music.ini... thanks for tracking that.
EDIT: Done.

You of course don't happen to exist a) in the same country with the Uni's server b) possibly even close to it c) or even within the same LAN with it? :-P

Rest of us don't. Not that I'd know which is faster, both of them are fast enough to saturate my bandwidth.

Another edit... version levels up.
I've slightlly changed the structure of first post and added step-by-step instrucions in code format so anyone can read it instantly if searching for particular problem.
I've covered the most famous problem lately with ffdshow [rev. 571] decoder which causes a black screen instead of FMV playing with Eidos theme heard in the background after which it freezes.
And I've sightly changed the name of topic so it's more descriptive.

Uuhh.. I don't quite understand what problem could you possibly have. Simply extract contents of TrueMotion_codec.zip somewhere on your HD, then double-click duck.exe which is one of those files you've extracted. Accept the terms by clicking "yes" and then keep clicking next until it's installed. What's exactly you can't accomplish?

It's certainly not. Maybe your archive got corrupted during download or something.
Oh but I see you were already able to solve it.

Yes I downloaded both versions and copied what I needed. For some reason my computer thought that this versions LGP editor was password protected. Thanks for the speedy assistance, sincerely, I only posted that hours ago. Not used to forums being so friendly.

When I use The SaiNt's High Res there are green line on the screen.
