need some advice guys

So as I am editing the story for a playable Sephiroth I am having some trouble as to how Marlene will factor into all this given Barret is mostly out of the picture.  Would you guys think it would work with Tifa being the mother?  Not sure if I should keep her as adopted or not.
 
That's an interesting question. I could definitely see Tifa as a strong independent momma.  8-)
 
Tifa being the mother sounds good ^^ maybe with dyne being the father??
 
That certainty is being taken under consideration.  I may make the back story so as Tifa was taken to town where Barret would of been at.  Maybe when I get a boss battle involving Barret to work they'll remember seeing each other.  Think that that could work the part about Tifa staying there for a little while where Barret loses his arm and stuff and he asks Tifa to take Marlene away before the town burns away?  Actually I think i'm getting an idea how to flush certain elements of this new story.  I don't want to give it away so it'll be a secret though most of you probably what i'm thinking of doing.
 
Yes, Barrett is tasked with taking care of Marlene after believing Dyne to be dead.
 
Oh meh gawd. I can't believe I never made that connection. I was always in a hurry to finish the prison area. My bad ;D
