Interestingly, regular moderators keep their normal user title, and only have the moderator tag visible in forums where they have that authority. Also, I think it's too bad the "Warez User" title isn't really used anymore. Shaming people for failing to read the rules is fun.

I don't even know of any of the warez users and since only one admin has been ever suspended. What did he do wrong?? If people don't want to answer this question just ignore.

No, there's some sort of bug in the version of SMF being used here that prevents people who didn't already have an avatar from having an avatar.

I wonder why. I just changed my avatar and it worked for me. Have you tried other images?? And don't try uploading in the forums. It does not work for me the thing that only works is when I link a direct link file in the url.
BTW I noticed Completely Unrelated forums not having a an admin. It isn't exactly required to have an admin there but maybe just one admin who can help some newbies that post stuff there.

I'd agree to it but....I remember Qhimm saying aages ago, something like "I dont want to make anyone else admin, because most of them leave the forum shortly after because they cant handle the job"

It's not my intention to criticize our almighty Qhimm, but...

There are some people who just don't look like they're going to leave the forum any time soon.  Some of these people just happen to seem like they might be fit for the job.  And if they can't handle the job?  We'll just be back where we started, but is that fate so dreadful?  Appointing new admins is worth a try, isn't it?

That's my two cents.  Of course, Qhimm knows a lot better than I do.  I don't suppose appointing someone admin is as simple as just clicking a button.  It costs him time out of his schedule.  And if he did say this:

I don't want to make anyone else admin, because most of them leave the forum shortly after because they can't handle the job. 

... Then it has come true in the past.  Even for someone like El Ammo Bandito!

And even then there's no telling if the current admins will care enough to appoint people.

This is why I could not be an admin. I would have no problem deleting and locking threads when needed, but I'd be reluctant to ban.
