New FF8 Fandub

Hello all,

I hope you don't mind if I take this opportunity to promote an FF8 fandub project that's finally come to fruition.  We had over 150 auditions submitted and a full cast of roughly 25 strong, 2 directors and 2-3 writers. We're determined to be the first fandub to make it all the way to the end while maintaining a full cast and high quality standards. We invite you to check it out!

Hey this is going pretty well. Nice one.
How'd you get so many actors so fast? I'm running the voice over for FF7 and it could benefit us both if we each asked our teams if they would like to join each others projects.

Most of mine are looking to make it big and are wanting as much experience as they can. Plus we share views haha
 
I'm admittedly not the director, I voice Seifer and Kiros and do a bit of audio work/QC/promoting.  Our co-directors were having similar difficulty in the beginning finding people who wanted to do it. They had been advertising mainly on Youtube, DeviantArt and their own warm networks and weren't getting much response. I suggested using a fandub casting call website like behindthevoiceactors.com or castingcall.club .  They did, and got a lot more hits.
 
Yeah i'm on casting call. I scout on voices.com too. Main difference being was to try keep the population happy i tried to employ actors who sounded like the originals which does make life harder. But in any case if you need a hand lemme know and i can help out too
 
Episode III is out.  This one took longer than we expected due to T-Giving and some various issues.  We're pretty proud of this one; it features the first part of the Dollet mission.

Lines for Episode IV are all recorded and is currently in post.  Hopefully it'll be up later this week...for real this time.

Monthly bump.

Our pace has slowed a bit (personal issues with some of the cast, and technical issues with Youtube copyright strikes) but Episode VIII released today.  This is the episode where Squall runs into Rinoa again after the party/ball, plus the mission on President Deling's train!

Episode IX (Timber Part 2) isn't in post yet but we're currently recording it.  Hope to have it out sometime this month.  Thanks to all the fans of the project who've supported us and we hope to keep on keeping on.
 
Monthly Bump.

Episode IX released. This was quite the undertaking compared to our previous episodes.  Longest episode yet (32 minutes), also contains nearly the entire cast plus a swath of NPCs...

...Oh and we're the first fandub where Adel is voiced....yup, Adel's presence is in this episode ;).

Monthly Bump.

Episode X and XI posted.  We've now passed the second Laguna Dream sequence (Laguna & Co also took down Diablos).

Next episode we meet Irvine and head off to Deling City.  We're moving right along...we hope to be done with Disc 1 by mid-summer.

Next up will be Tomb of the Unknown King and fighting the Brothers.  The 2 other dubs on Youtube that made it this far (Shudo's FF8 Voices, and 'VideogameNostalgia')  skipped over the Tomb so we'll be the first to dub it.  Look forward to it!

Episode XIII and XIV uploaded.  Episode XIV is our Season 1 (Disc 1) finale and involves the entire Sorceress Assassination mission.  We're very proud of how it turned out! We just got our Young Ellone casted so now it's on to Winhill!

North American hurricane season has delayed our release schedule significantly...Our Selphie is from Puerto Rico and the situation there has unfortunately made submission of lines an extraordinary challenge.  Hopefully we'll be back to a regular pace soon.

We're very happy with the positive response this series has gotten. 200+ subs 450+ cumulative likes and 11K+ cumulative views.  We appreciate everyone's continued support, and of course invite the curious to check us out.  There's a long term goal of transitioning this project into a voice mod as well.

Anyway, for now, Episodes XV and XVI have been released.  Enjoy :)

We're currently working on Episode 17, but we need to recast our Irvine.  If you're interested in auditioning you can audition on our Casting Call Club page (account required), or send an MP3 to our Facebook group page.  We would like to pick our new Irvine by this Sunday 1/7.

I never knew about this project until now. Amazing job, Takigan. Looking forward to watching all of the vids as soon as I get some free time so I can binge watch it. Do you have a Patreon page or something?
