I havent seen much of it but from what I have seen that looks amazeing.So the polygons counts are though the roof and the same gos for the textures.
What do you want them to stick with the crapy N-64 models!?

I think what he means is why, with all the graphics that it can do, they just made it into a cartoon. The preident of nintendo should come out and say "Hey America, we are a friggn *playing card company* and have been sense 1874. We do this console thing as a side job to make money from the 3-11 year of age bracket. Our "mature" audince buys our playing cards and plays poker, Blackjack, and other games of chance. Our product is in every casino in Japan."
If Americans would just realize that Nintendo's main line of manufacturing is Playing cards and poker chips, they won't be going around asking "WHY?" every time they make a pokemon N64 that truns on when you press down on Pikachu's foot.

P.S. Oh, BTW I did mean 1874, they have been around for more that 100 years. Theu also make bone Mah-jongg tilesets too. Very nice.

I was thinking of getting a Game Cube over the X-Box in a year or so's time basicly FOR Zelda and there Metriod and Marios games.
**** that man! The demo shown at Spaceworld was amazeing! This is just BS. New look? Pah! The game play and music will have to be pretty good to make up for that "new look".

Bah. Not only did Nintendo tell Square they didnt want Final Fantasy IV-VI on the game boy advanced(I would buy a GBA for that!) but now they go and screw up Zelda on the Gamecube. Now I have been a long time fan of Nintendo but they are REALLY pushing it now.
I'm starting to think "**** them". I will get an X-Box when they get cheap. If want full 3d damnit! Not this cartooon crap!

Take a hard look on the N64 Zelda. Take a hard look on SNES Zelda. If you were to compare the graphics to anything else, would your mind be on "cartoon" or would it be on "real life"?Zelda has always been a bit cartoonish in style, trying to make things real just makes the graphics silly and worse as the graphics simply isn't good enough yet. I think the graphics in the new Zelda is really amazing and good-looking.
However, I would have preferred it if they didn't include actual humor elements from cartoons...most of us have grown tired of the typical cartoonish mass-produced humor long since. It should have been a harder cartoon and less a children's cartoon, but Nintendo has always been the children's gaming platform (teenagers and older go for playstation usually) so I guess I'm not in a position to complain.

I don't mind the idea of Zelda being a cartoon, its just the way they did link and the stupid humour, like the pig things running of the cliff and hanging there for 3 seconds which i find stupid

Yeah, I think the new look is pretty dumb. It seems to cheapen Link, and the world of Zelda in general.. . . as far as Nintendo being a card company . . . I thought that was just a rumor started in an April issue of Nintendo power. LOL.

Yeah, I should clarify myself. I dont mind an animated look at all. I mean, the game has always had it. It's the specific style they popped into that I find unappealing. I'll still give the game a chance, as I will Metroid (FPS -- why??), but I can't say I like it one bit.

I think the best of all Metroid games was part 3, Super Metroid. (I still have it on my comp, with ZSnes)

I like the look of the new metroid game, its not really gonna be a metroid I reckon more of a perfect dark but I reckon itll be good. One of the best games on the Snes was super metroid and I regularly go back to kick some Mother Brain ass
