Oops on install

I accidently clicked the install DirectX 5 (or 6 or 7 I don't remember what it said) button during install. Did this replace my DX 9.0c or did it do nothing? Thanks!
 
Press Start, go to Run.  Type in dxdiag and it should open a window.  Near the bottom of the first tab it says "DirectX Version:".

That should tell you what your DirectX version currently is.  However, I dont think you can downgrade DirectX anyways, so I wouldn't be too worried.
 
It won't have any effect as Direct X cannot be downgraded that way
