not yet, one last issue to be solved. Everytime before a boss, when the screen freezes and then fades away, it zooms automatically. But when the battle begins, it's ok again.

EDIT: And, one more question. Using MotioninJoy, I managed to connect a PS3 controller into my PC using a USB cable and when I started playing FF8, I realised the controller sensitivity was WAY too high. How can I reduce it?

Maybe you could use "Aalis custom driver" instead "FF8 Launcher", please not both together.
If you "Aalis custom driver" wanted to disable it again, you must go into your [game folder] rename the file "eax.dll".
With your PS3controller I can not help you, I have a normal PC gamepad (works great).

I do not have this problem. It is possible that your PC is not fast enough (hard drive or graphics card too slow)

Way too high in what way? As in, the analog sticks go from walk to run too quickly? The buttons activate when you haven't pushed them all the way down? (Damn you Sony for making all your buttons analog).
FF8 has no way to change this. Since I'm not at home I can't check myself, but if there's a fix for this it'll be in MotioninJoy's settings, not ff8.

I just touch the analog stick and the Squall starts running. It's so annoying, I looked at motioninjoy settings but I can't find something useful...

That's actually how I got to this page... the link there (http://www.mediafire.com/?b5i1ei1ijfwey36) didn't work, so I came to the thread hoping for a new one. I also tried that link in Chrome and Firefox but get told there's an error. :|

Thanks a bunch, PitBrat.
The first link (FILE) is still not working, though. I grabbed the third link (by Phun) and tried using that instead, but I'm still getting black boxes in the credits FMV that plays when I load the game for the first time. I searched Google for "ffviii black boxes" and was led to this thread:

Different poster name than Hazeno, but wondered if it's the same, since it references a 1.31 version of the file. Unfortunately, the 1.31 version on the URL I just provided ALSO does not work any longer.
Anyone have either the Hazeno ff8_launcher_v1.31.zip or the one linked to in the thread above (again, maybe they're the same)? I'm very eager to kick off FFVIII!
