theres something called 'the grinch project' or something thats working on a PS2 emulator for macOS

why would you want to emulate the ps2, theres not like theres any good games for it yet.

Making emulators for OS's whose users will never use them.  The Grinch Project, PS2 emu for MAC!

please tell me your kidding. the MAC? the mac shouldn't even have games made for it

on the contrary. it would run better on a mac. macs run much more efficiently then PCs from what I can tell. the reason that the guy chose to make it on mac is because it has less background programs.

Start up Windows, but prevent any background programs from loading, using MSConfig, or an equivalent. Guess what? Practically no background programs. Not that it makes a difference, when you've got >64MB of RAM, and we all do. Don't we?

Nowadays the Mac really doesn't have many advantages over the PC - and speed is *not* one of them. At all.

I know there are PS2 emulators, the hardest requirement for them, though, is the fact that they require a DVD-ROM drive. I'd look for an emu, but I don't have a DVD-ROM drive in my system...

PowerPC chips rule x86 though. The Mac in general is decent for multimedia, but games are rare.

An example of good PowerPC usage is the Gamecube :)
