I heard that PS2 emulation wasn't possible, but they also said that with N64.

Apple is actually a good choice for multimedia and 3D graphics, because it's processor is designed in a way that it processes graphics faster.  A guy who I had a class with told me that he was a advertisement designer for a movie company.  He says that all his co-workers use Imacs for doing the advertisements.  The movie industry uses Apple a lot for 3D graphics in the movies.

You mean like VMware or WINE?

By the way, that new version of VMware sucks (VMware workstation 3.0).

PS2 emulation is *possible*, but much much harder than anything else done in emulation until now. The hardware between a PC and a PS2 is just so different....PC relies on much memory on the gfx card, while PS2 only have 4MB of memory but has a totally awesome bus that can push through all the textures and geometry needed. If you see a PS2 emulator sometime, it's because the bus (or the on-card hardware) has improved so much on the PC, because right now nothing in programming could make it happen.

This has all been discussed here before somewhere. Good luck finding it though, just saying this because it will probably explain the techies lack of interest in this topic (it might even be deleted as it was about a year ago I think...around the PS2 release date)

I will refrain from commenting about PurpleSmurf not thinking there's anything wrong with another Joey on the board.

He darkness, I don't like MGS or MGS2 and FFX isn' t technically out yet  :P

MGS2 was really good. The only thing they needed to add to make it perfect was multiplayer support. Same goes for Gundam: Journey to Jabrow.

Actually, no one will be able to identify me by my IP (sometimes).  Simply because I use many computers on different locations.  Sometimes locations that are very distant.

Did you know that if you try to hack from Mexico in a cybercafe, your chances of getting caught drops dramatically.  Not that I have done it , but the fact that you are close to the border (I never said which border, heh heh) and the fact that they don't give a damn who uses it and what you do with it, is clear that you can do whatever you want.
The police can't catch you that quick over there, and plus if they chase you, you can escape very easily from them.

then the cali border patrol checks you for fruit and vegetables, and they catch you......

unless your only carrying animals (stuffed with fruit and vegtables). or you could come over in a coffe truck.

Mexico, the poor country has a powerful network of computers which is why it is easier to detect(or so it seems).

Yeah, you can spend time in jail just because of a stupid avocado.  Damn stupid avocado, damn it.

As poor as it may seem, Mexico does have a lot technology.  Often the most difficult surgeries are done in Mexico.  They teach a lot of programming over there, my cousin was taught C++ when he was 15.  Other than that they are pretty laid back when it comes to network security.

hehe if you freeze the avacado, i dont think they care. they use the word 'fresh'

Anonymous: LOL its not like being served drinks, there is not age limit to learn a programming language :-)

aye, i know c++ and im 15. ive been programing HTML since i was 11, and been messing with vb since about then too.

hmm i've been programming since i was 12. of course it wasn't a real programming language, qbasic, and i sucked ungodly at it. it made me the gymnast/programmer mix i am today. ahh... computers what would life be like with out you; proabaly a lot less complicated and interesting but i don't care

Friends, Friends let's not tempt the programmers to stray from making that ff7 remake
