that's cool..  I ran into something similar a browser based MMO pokemon game before just can't remember the website.

Anyone thinks a 3d pokemon game would be really nice :) :)

3D pokemon MMO with player based economy and PvP ( with a lot of NPCs too of course ) would print infinite money
I have no idea why there isn't one

yeah I've been waiting for a long time now.. there are the colosseum games that are in 3d but it would be good to have something close to the classic but in 3d and MMO

Trainer WhiteRaven wants to fight!
Go, Lvl 86 Pidgeot!

Kuugen sends out Lvl 100 Zubat!
Zubat used confusion ray!

WhiteRaven hurt himself in confusion.

It would look funny if anyone makes a Gold/Silver MMORPG (PHP would do)

PHP is entirely serverside. Not exactly great for games that require any interaction beyond clicking links.

Javascript is a much more suitable candidate. Or better yet, some combination of the two.

I'm waiting for someone to mention flash and then someone hate on flash just because flash

Well i hate java...mainlyy due to it's many security exploits and that...but yeah flash sucks nowadays too..if only they could perhaps improve it fix up it's resource usage and the many freakin crashes and instability

There was another fan-made Pokemon game where you were in a 3D enviornment, you were able to walk around towns as Ash and whatnot, however don't remember where I've seen it. It wasn't an MMO though.

I'm playing Black 2 a bit right now and it's not bad, though they need to change the format a whole lot more than this (especially storyline wise) if Gamefreak wants people to keep playing.

I thought it was a given that they'd release a truly 3D Pokemon RPG at some point during the N64 lifecycle. When it didn't happen, I was surprised. Since it still hasn't happened a decade later, I'm even more surprised.

So, anybody give this a try yet? Even if it's not official and not done yet, an MMO pokemon seems to be the next-best thing to a full-blown 3D one.
