Problems with modpath, please help!

Hello everyone.
I used bootleg configurator for a while to mod FF7, but i stopped beacuse i wanna play it on Steam.
So I began to mod manually, but i got some problems with the modpath.
I installed Felix's battle scene enhancement and the Field's Pack, but they don't seem to load because everything stays the same.
I'm using the Square Enix launcher to play.

Do I have to use the FF7.exe from the 1.02 patch?

As long as you use the S-E launcher - and as long as it's launched from Steam - you can't mod it.

Bootleg works with the Steam version anyway.
