Hi guys! Thanks for your comments. I appreciate all the criticism, that makes me improve xD. Note that I just started with 3d modelling and I'm using SketchUp (and my computer is not the best one for these purposes). I never studied 3d design so my learning curve is a bit slow. I want to do the next one's in 3ds max so hopefully the will look better xD.

Another very good map in progress !

I finished the layering of the sbwy's new versions and of elminn_1, I'll publish soon. I also modify some of the olds modelisations to make it better.

Wouldn't it be funny if you put some references about other Final Fantasy in the maps, like pictures on the wall or figures like in elminn_1 ? I imagine the ff4, 5 or 6 characters in a showcase or decoration ! :)

There is a lot of drawings like this, I think it could inspire you to add more details in your maps.

I wish jmp434 could be back to recreating scenes himself and perhaps join you in this effort. Together you'd be able to provide us fans with the real FF7 HD!

Bad news, I've had a hard drive error and I lost all my data... :'( :cry: :cry: I need to start again so will take a while to have the field :-(

That is quite unfortunate I hope you are backing your work up somewhere.
 
So just out of curiosity, have you tried a recovery tool? Such as Recuva? I've had success restoring things after a hard drive failure and I believe it's still free.

There are other recovery methods for cloning a drive that's gone belly up. You might be able to get some of it back.

I tried some.of them but with no luck. I almost finished the new one anyways and I'll post some pictures soon xD
 
Hi guys/gals

Im currently working on md1_1 and keep getting these white patches on the tunnel entrance and lights on the top of building when the background is back in the game, any advice on how to fix this ?

any help would be hugely appreciated :)
 
That looks awesome! The Keyblade and Gunblade also look great. The Buster Sword looks like it's from Advent Children.
