Question about Final Fantasy VII Ultima Edition

My FF7 cd's are damn stupid old and 2 of them dont work so I got the Ultima Edition.


Do I need to patch to 1.2 or is that all ready done?
Also do I need the FF7 Chocobo Patch?

As far as I know this version includes the patches you need and the PSF files for the music on the PSX version of FF7 are used instead. Oh and it's compressed into 1GB or somet.

No harm in trying to apply the patches though I suppose..
