Questions about FF9

WARNING: spoilers....maybe....but you know you want to read it......hello. i have a few wee questions about ff9. i have loads while i play it, but i always forget them when i come online. anyway, Dagger. what exactly does her ability 'Odin's Sword' do? it says it attacks with eidolon Odin but it doesnt seem to do anything. also, her trance. it switches to Eidolon from Summon, but what does it do? does it just make the Eidolon stronger? hhmmmm, anymore? oh yeah, the friendly ghosts. if you give them all what they want the last one'll say "you can fight the round guy now", refering to Ozma. and if youve already killed him itll say something like "what!? youve alerady killed him?". but does it actually make any diference when you fight Ozma about whether youve done the quest or not? im about to go and fight Kuja to end the game, but im doing all the side quests first. can anyone help? tell me if you need any help on the chocobo or mognet central things cos ive done them. goodbye!
 
1. Odin's Sword enhances Odin's attack: if it doesn't hit the enemy (to kill it at once), it does non-elemental damage.2. When Dagger is in trance, you can summon an eidolon, but you lose control of her since the eidolon will attack every turn unless the trance ends.

3. If you give the friendly ghosts what they want, they'll make Ozma weaker: it can then be attacked physically and Shadow elemental attacks won't heal it anymore.

4. Do you expect me to explain ALL the sidequests to you? But if you want to do them, you'd have to do it before you go to Terra because some location will be closed afterwards.
 
wow, cheers mr. i tried fighting Ozma a couple of times last night but i kept dying. i got really close once but it used comet and did 9999 damage to everyone! and curse is pretty annoying, simply cos it does alot of damage when it casts it, the status' dont really matter cos i just get Quina to use Angel's Snack straight away. im having alot of trouble doing the friendly ghost quest. im on the last one, the yan, but i keep running into evil yans and they kill me! i dont need help with the other quests thanks, ive done them all. thanks mr, that info was really useful.
 
HUZZAH! i killed Ozma! and i killed Quen, i did quite a lot last night. here's a list of the quests ive done, can anyone tell me if ive missed any out?Chocobo Quest: Done
Dead Treasures: Done
Beach Revival: Done
Mognet Central: Done
Ozma: Done
Quina's Frogs: Done
Stelazio Coins: No, fucked it up earlier in the game i think.
Coffee beans: Nope
Friendly Ghosts: Done

thats all the ones i can remember. thanks for the friendly ghosts info, it made Ozma alot easier. i wish i had stolen more stuff from him though, he died really quick. so do you know of any more quests mr? or anyone else?

well im on disc 4 just before the end, and i only have 10 so i must have missed some in the other discs. unless theyve moved around and i can still get them in the open cities. what do you mean 'what is Princess Garnet's real name'? Dagger or the other one? something Til Alexandros or something, cant remember. hey after i killed Ozma i got this strategy Guide off Mene and it tells you something important about cards.......wanna know?

hhmmm, i didnt know about that Dagger's name thing. as for Shannon, i couldnt find anything about her on the site except for a few messages in the forum. and i think its a load of crap anyway. and did you read the bit about the Dummy? it says if you have 32,000 battles in the crystal world without leaving you get to fight the dummy,  your only alllowed to save. now thats definatley a load of crap. i got Excalibur last night, but its crapper than the weapon i already have (Ragnarok) and i doubt i'll ever get Excalibur II.
 
One word... : Cheat....I dont cheat the first time around.. unless i get really bored and realize i am gonna say hell with it... but the second time around its perfectly ok to hack the crap out of a game...
 
yeah, but im still in my first time round ff9. and i cant really hack it like its a pc game unless i get codes for my X-plorer. i dont think i'll cheat my second time either, cos i know there's some things i want to do earlier in the game. but i'll definetely cheat third time.
 
you dont have to hack it use pec get it here.. it already has codes for FF9 and you can add more into the user database.. such as 99 of all items and crap like that.. version 1.4 is out that to my understanding is the latest version... oh duh get it  [url="<a]http://pec.emucheater.com/[/url]" TARGET=_blank>here
 
oh yeah ive been on the pec site before. only im playing ff9 on my playstation so i'd have to start the game again on my crappy pc. oh yeah, i cant get the Dagger's name thing to work. i talked to the woman and when i walk round the Summoning circle thing it makes the bleeps and stuff but no extra exclamtaion marks appear after. im gonna take another look at ff9hq.
 
i just got the Daggers real name thing to work. go and talk to that woman WITHOUT dagger or Eiko in your team. thn put Dagger and Eiko in your team and goto the Summoner's circle. walk round the circle right, then when you get back to the doorway again itll make a bleep. now turn around and walk round the circle left till it makes another bleep. keep turning round and stuff till it says HP and MP restored and status' recoverd or whatever then there will be loads more things to read. under Ifrit it will tell you about Dagger.  :)
 
So what is it, I would look but my hdd got erased by a virus or summit and i lost my saves :(

Thx, I didnt really fancy wasting time dumping the disk to the hdd d/l epsxe  and setting it up right then getting to that point.
 
hey did you know about changing the music in the vivi village (cant remember what its called). goto the puppet next to the music thing in the inn and if you have a special item in your list it'll change to a diferent tune to some previous FF, and someone will start talking about dreams and memory and stuff. i think you have to have Doga's Artifact or Une's mirror in your key items cos i think they're from some other ff too. you can get them from the treno auction. lets see, what else......cant remember. i suppose you know about the interesting stuff with Quina, Vivi and some masters in Vivi's old home..........?
